Penetrator 14" Aluminum Screw Earth Anchor-Holds up to 2,500lbs

Told in stock (new to here, evidently blatent lies about stock is SOP), once ordered getting jerked around. These are little toy things, they are in reality 8" long, not 14". The only way they would hold 2,500# if set in 2,500# of concrete. Even then the aluminum threads would likely give out at a low pull weight. Again, they are toy-like, an oversized tent stake unsuitable for anything you'd call anchoring.To have some objective evidence for this review, I installed in hard compacted soil, the kind where you need to dig with a pick axe as a shovel is of no use. Found I could make it give way by hand, yes, by hand. A hardy pull putting my back into it but by hand nevertheless. The soil you couldn't shovel steadily gave way and out it popped. I'd say a 100# rating would be appropriate. Glorified tent stake indeed. I can only surmise this is true of the entire product line so you are fortunate to have read my review for this item.

Fantastic product once again from the innovative American Earth Anchors team - a wonderful, local New England company with an absolutely unprecedented product.Never before could you install ground anchors of such strong load capacity with such easy. You would need to have a concrete filling or a clunky post driving machine. Now, you can do the same thing by hand with AEA's ingenious twist-ratchet system.The weight these things can take is INCREDIBLE and is probably MORE than the conservative advertised figure. The other reviewer is an absolute LIAR: these are 14", not 8", and perform exactly as advertised, or BETTER.Thanks AEA for a great product and made locally in Massachusetts, the greatest state in the US.
