I've been experimenting to various different headlights (LED, HID, etc...) in my autos lately trying to determine which are really the brightest. This tool performs well for that purpose and has allowed me to make comparisons based on data and not just appearance.

I just received it in the mail and was anxious to test it out. I will be using it mainly for film photography. It's still early days but overall I am impressed by the accuracy and sensitivity of the meter. I've found that I get the best reading when I use the X10 scale which gives me a bettter average reading which I can use to convert to an EV and then check my chart for the correct exposure. I've verified the exposures on my digital camera in manual mode.

The backlight function and swiveling sensor really come in handy. It makes a rather loud beep sound every time you press a button. If the volume was turned down on this a bit, it would make it more pleasurable to use, in my opinion. I was hoping it had a color temperature function, but it is just air temperature ( I found out you need to pay a lot more for that type of meter). All in all it is a great value in an easy to use handheld meter. I’m happy with the purchase.

It works well!I use this meter to find Exposure value for my manual cameral. I have to do a couple of conversions from Fc to EV, then look at table to find aperture and shutter speed. All turns out great. The meter has LCD back light, so in dark environment you can use it to help read.

We are remodeling our Kitchen, gutted it really, putting in new floors through out the house, gutting the Master Bath, changing lighting throughout the house, removing popcorn ceiling, repainting.This light meter really helped us find the Brightness of the Light we wanted for the kitchen can lights. Very easy to use.
