Very Enjoyable Book To Read
The King of Pop and I is an honest portrayal of Michael Jackson and his family, from an up close and personal perspective of Aileen Medalla. Ms. Medalla was employed by Michael Jackson as a Homeschool Teacher to his children; Prince, Paris, and Blanket (Bigi) from December 2005 to September 2008.This book was a joy to read and I highly recommend it for Michael Jackson fans and those who want to know more about him outside of the public eye. I found myself smiling throughout the entire book while reading stories about the amazing journey she had with the Jackson family. I smiled for different reasons, sometimes due to the sweet story that was being told or because of the funny things Michael’s children said or did. Medalla was able to show a side of Michael and his children without revealing too much or crossing the line because she knows how important privacy was to him.I loved the format of the book; short chapters which lead you from one intriguing experience to the next and pages written with love, admiration and respect for both Michael and his children. I was also able to get to know Aileen as she took me on her personal and professional journey while working for “The Best Boss Ever.” She explains Michael Jackson was “The Best Boss Ever”, not because he was Michael Jackson The King of Pop, but because he always found a way to make her and everyone around him feel valued and loved. The special touch to this book is the inclusion of handwritten notes from Michael and the children to Medalla. These notes allow us to see how genuinely kind and thoughtful Michael and his children were, and how much they appreciated and cared for her not only as an employee and teacher but also… as a friend. The book cover is perfect. I like the picture of Michael because it fits well with the title. He looks royal and the Author, Aileen, pictured with her rolling suitcase depicts not only her role as a traveling teacher but also the adventure she embarks upon during this once and a lifetime position

Finished It Over Two Nights.
What a beautiful story from start to finish. Aileen takes you on an amazing journey and you feel like you're right there with her and the Jacksons along the way. What a magical experience and I love the lessons she's learned from her time spent working for MJ. MJ was good at teaching us lessons that way. A great read and definitely recommended.

Thoughtful and loving memoir
Ms Medalla's memoir of her time teaching MJ's children is sweet and touching. She shows the sweetness and love children and their father during what was a difficult time for MJ. It's clear he made a home for his kids no matter where they were. Its also clear that Ms Medalla was a wonderful, caring teacher for the childrwn

Worth reading
Only 4 stars because it should have been edited better (grammar mistakes.)It’s a sweet memoir. The chapters are short and even the paragraphs are spaced out, which made this book an easy read. The author didn’t reveal much from the private life of Michael and his children, which is good!Thank you, Aileen, for writing this book. It left a very pleasant feeling.

The author doesn't know much
The author was an employee, not a friend or a confidant, and therefore didn't know much about Michael Jackson's life. She traveled around the world with him, but barely knew him. She is much more knowledgeable about the children and even reveals their secret nicknames.
