Camo pattern was less important than the hunter orange, but of course if you're not moving the camo pattern does help break up the shape as a deer/elk would see.I use this for rainy weather hunting/scouting for safety while keeping dry. The brim is wide enough to shed water away from your next. All the other orange camo hats I could find were baseball caps or beanies, so no protection from the rain and rain drips onto your ears and next.I suppose I could also use this while kayaking, rain or not, for the extra visibility from power boats.This "one size" hat at its largest way way bigger than my giant 8" hat size noggin. So if you have a big head, or just big hair, this will fit where other boonie style hats won't. It adjusts down from there for a perfect fit.

bought this for my husband. at first glance he thought it was going to be too big, but then noticed the draw string which is used to size the hat to fit the head. great product.
