Never wrote a review before and probably won't ever again but after what took place tonight I feel compelled to give credit to these silly glow sticks. I'm a novice boater and last week it dawned on me that if somebody was to fall overboard at night there would be no way to find them. On a whim I bought these and as soon as It got dark tonight I cracked one and threw it in the water. We could see it from 100 yards easy and it floated. After that I gave one to everybody onboard and told them to put it in their pocket just in case. Sure as hell my best friend fell off the boat into raritan bay tonight and I screamed to him to crack the stick. I screamed it about ten times as he disappeared into the night and then as he faded away this silly glow stick acted as a beacon and we managed to get him back on the boat. Even with the stick he nearly drowned and I am certain if it wasn't for these silly sticks he wouldn't have made it. This whole ordeal lasted about 4 minutes max and he was absolutely exhausted. I've never seen anything like it. To all boaters, get these sticks and a quick access floatation device. I'm going to track down a glow stick that I can fasten to the flotation device so whoevers in the water can easily see it because in these situations seconds matter. Thank god my buddy is ok.

I don't know what folks are doing that they end up having these not work. I really don't.I bought these three years ago next month. I used them for a great Halloween craft idea and not one stick failed.I have had a bunch in the car since then...three years! I cracked one at 7:30 last night and it is still glowing nearly as bright and 12 hours later!No product like this is going to light a pth for you. So use your head. But if I needed something to hang on my kid while trick or treating? I would trust these to be seen.

So I bought these for a camping trip I’m doing and I use glow sticks for other survival things. Usually I buy the expensive military grade ones which are great don’t get me wrong. I got these as a let’s see how they are and I’m pretty shocked. I can’t say really how durable they are but to crack them it takes some force so I believe they can take a beating. I cracked one at 430 pm yesterday and 28 hours later it is still glowing. It isn’t as bright as it was but it’s still pretty decently bright. I will def buy these again because for the money you can’t really beat them. Also the tie it comes with for a necklace works great to tie them to a carabiner and pull off quickly when you need one instead of having to unhook it from the carabiner.

I have been getting these for my daughter since she was 6 months old or so. They have strong walls so I was not worried about her biting them and breaking them open. (I still tried to make sure they did not go in her mouth, but there is only so much a parent can do without hovering.) We mostly used them for car rides when it was dark out, or walking home from the park or store in the dark. She would get bored if she just had to sit in the dark (and therefore SCREAM) but with one of these she was very happy the whole ride/walk.Now at age 2 she still loves these glow-sticks! I will sometimes give them to her for longer car rides when she is not ready to nap/sleep, but mostly we just play with them. In the evening I will turn most of the lights off and we will activate a few of them and have fun dancing with glow-sticks.When first activated they are SUPER bright and then dim a bit after 15-30 min. They still stay quite bright for at least a few hours. Her patience runs out long before the glow-stick does.

Purchased these to use intact inside a gatorade bottle turned into a firefly, and to cut open to use in fairy jars.Durability: specifically purchase the "premium" lightsticks because I read that sometimes glowsticks will break apart. Had no trouble with these. These are definitely thicker and very sturdy.Glowing power: These are advertised as glowing for 8-10 hours. The ones I received definitely glowed as advertised. We "broke" these lightsticks at about 7:00 p.m. These glowed throughout the night and into the morning. Later, at about 2:30 p.m., I found some in a dark closet and they were still glowing. However, the ones that I cut open to pour into a jar for my fairy jar did not glow as long. When we woke up in the morning, they had already stopped glowing.Colors: I received all 5 colors in my pack. However, they don't look quite as they do in the photo. My blue was more of a purple (which I loved). The green was much more flourescent green. The pink one was a dark fuschia. Overall, I liked these a lot and will definitely purchase these again.

When reviewing glow sticks, brightness and length of glow are key. Sticks glow brightly for about 5 minutes, then go into very consistent medium glow for good 12 hours. The green sticks seem to be brightest longest, but all look great. Would give 5 stars, but one of first 12 in box didn't work at all. So for box of 25, may get 2 duds. Still, for brightness and length of glow, pass test very well. Checked after 24 hours, still slight glow. Expect at least 1 dud in box, that's pretty standard after serving in Army and using a lot of yellow, industrial strength glow sticks. Good product at great price.

We gave these out along with Halloween candy and they were a huge hit. They last a LONG time; I presnapped and shook them all at about 7pm and they were still glowing strong hours later and had a faint glow the next night after sitting out all day. The necklace "string" is sort of rubbery and very thin but held well while still being able to break with some effort (figured since we were giving them out to kids we should test them).Green, Pink, Blue, Orange, Yellow - from brightest to dimmest They all are very bright when first snapped but I noticed the yellow and orange lost the most the fastest.The glowsticks we received were slightly different than the picture in that it was not just a round hole at the top (would have preferred), there was a hole and a hook. There were 5 of each color.Would definitely buy again.I added pictures of the packaging they arrived in (tennis ball for scale)

Some of the colours lasted much longer than the others. But, while the longevity was not equal, the colours were very vibrant and tons of fun. They served exactly the purpose we bought them for, and our son was excited at the size of the glow sticks. We had always purchased them from the dollar store, but these were much better!

These are good quality glow sticks. Fairly sturdy and the glow lasts as advertised. No problems with any cracks. Would prefer if it didn't come with detached elastic strings.

Does the job nicely

Not bad for the price. They aren't as bright as other brands, but it worked for us. Package included string to hang the lights.

We camp so we go through a lot of glow sticks. These are the best I’ve ever had. They are so bright that in the dark mountains you could use them as a flashlight. They are durable and feel thick so I don’t worry about leaking.
