La marca Mercer es como si fuera Wusthoff
La marca Mercer es de calidad equivalente a la marca alemana Wusthoff a menos de la mitad del precio. Mismo acero. He comprado varios.

Well worth the money!
I love this knife! I have been looking for a good, solid, sharp knife for my kitchen and this is it. Forget the cheap, stamped steel knives which are too thin and spindly for my taste. This knife feels great in your hand, is well balanced, and has a nice distance from the heel to the bolster so that I don't mash my fingers on the counter as I'm chopping. The knife came super sharp so getting dinner ready was a breeze. Finally, it looks snazzy on my magnetic bar. Long story short, I completely love it and I'm already eyeing others in the line to round out the set.

Wonderful knife! No regrets!
I was researching a lot about kitchen knives and there were so many brands that it was almost a doozy. There were also quite a bit of bogus reviews that I've seen floating around when it came to Mercer knives. I think it bothers a lot of people when they find out it's made in Taiwan (yes, including their MX3s) and not in Japan or Germany. They claimed that even their MX3 line was trash and dull as heck. I just received a 6-inch petty knife (MX3) and I can totally assure you that I have no idea where that person bought/purchased their Mercer knives as even this one is already quite sharp!I was able to test a Zwilling Pro 7-in Rocking Santoku knife. It was sharp and was still good to cut with but I find this knife a lot better in terms of "thinness" when I was mincing some onions and shallots. It was also sharper from my experience and had better maneuverability (which may come down to preference as my hands aren't that big/that small) as I was cutting. It was a lot more comfortable and fluid.I don't know how this will fare against the Wusthof Ikon knife I'll be receiving this week but will see. I already received the 5-inch Wusthof Classic Santoku (and it's so cute!) but I don't think it's fair to compare them when that knife's been used already; it's unfortunately quite dull at the moment. I do need to sharpen it still before I can compare them properly. So far I've tried J.A. Henckels International, Zwilling, Wusthof and Mercer knives.
