Thes turnbuckles have a nice satin finish and the thread spin smoothly. Lower quality in hardware often shows up in rough or poorly aligned threads, these look, and worked very well. One of eight was slightly bent (the middle piece) but it did not impact function. Each is stamped "304" which isn't a guarantee of the alloy, but nice to see. These are in service to tighten up the frame on a "portable" garage structure alone with some 1/8 stainless wire rope. They will be somewhat exposed to the weather, so I'll update this review if they start showing any rust.

I have these connected to metal cables on my trellis to keep the cables tight. No sign of rust yet.

I got these for the solar shade over our sand area. They are rather flimsy with loose tolernaces so they have a tendancy to loosen and come unhooked in moderate wind.

This happened putting up a clothesline to make the line tight. No wet clothes hanging yet so keeping my fingers crossed it holds. I have 10 and only needed 8.You can see in the second picture that the metal has a dip or thinning area where it broke. Several others show this and maybe a defect. Made in China.
