Mat Embedded With Plastic Material Which Is A Potential Health Hazard
I was delighted with this purchase and my puppy seemed to love the mat. I used it for about a week when I noticed that my dog kept "digging" at the netting underneath the pile and she seemed to be eating something. A thorough search of her mouth revealed two small round plastic "balls" the size of a small pin head. I rubbed the mat netting and out came another 1/2 dozen tiny clear plastic balls. I felt around the wood floor and found at least three more small pellets. Fearing that other pets may be ingesting this plastic stuff, I called Amazon customer service and asked them to immediately investigate their stock to see if this is a common problem. They have requested the seller investigate the remaining stock, issued me an immediate refund and advised me to discard the mat for safety reasons. I offered to return the mat with the offending material, but Amazon said they had it under control.

Great quality durability and value!
I first bought one of these rugs just over 2 years ago. In the winter our yard gets particularly muddy when it rains and I decided I wanted another one to increase the coverage. I really have been impressed with these rugs. They are thick, durable and absorbent. They’re also soft to stand on, a nice spot for bare feet. One of our dogs likes to sleep on them. Are they a miracle working rug? No, you still have mud or water come in, but they help a lot! They’re also easy to clean. I have washed mine countless times and I dry it in the dryer, but I will say I noticed in the packaging for the new rug that you are supposed to hang it to dry. In my picture, the dog is standing on the old rug and the new one is behind her. That old rug is still in great shape. There is some slight fading but the fibers and backing are fine. As for the non-slip backing, it works pretty well: if you’re standing above it and try to move it with your foot it doesn’t move much, but my dogs come in the house like rodeo horses out of the gate and they definitely can move the rugs. Overall, I recommend. I also recommend not having 4 dogs.

The RUNNER size is the BEST thing EVER.
Best mat ever (if you get the Runner size).I have purchased both the runner and the regular doormat size. The regular doormat size rug never stays in place, it slides around all over the place. The RUNNER, however, is the best thing since sliced bread. I purchased the maroon color and have had it for over a year now, the rubberized bottom keeps the mat in place really well, even after a year of wear and tear. This mat has been puked on, diarrhea, mud, water... you name it. I have washed it SO many times and it's still together. The rubberized backing has cracked a bit and if you flip over the rug the backing has stains on it from what the rug has been through, but the red color is still vibrant and it does it's job of reducing the amount of mud tracked in through the dog door. I love this product, I am purchasing two or three more today to add throughout the house.

Just buy it already ..UPDATE: .well, never mind
UPDATE after a few weeks use: the yarn that makes the paw prints is falling out of the carpet! Kept finding short pieces of blue yarn near the rug, and finally figured it out. Won't buy again until they offer it without the paw prints ...this was an expensive piece of rug, and now it just looks shabby. When I think of the money I spent trying to protect my wood floors from my 2 dog's wet feet....because I thought this brand was too expensive, I feel like an idiot. This hall runner is big enough that the dogs can't avoid walking on it, and there are much fewer wet paw prints after they've used it. I just wish they would make one without the paw prints! I'm not a big fan of cutesy.

Poor quality
Loved the rug, have had several before. This one - huge tear in material first time I washed it. Paying over $65 for an entry rug that you are afraid to wash - not good. It is advertised as being able to be washed. All my others were washed at least a dozen times... this one... torn on first wash. I will see if seller replaces it. I am sure it is defective, but I can't give it a good rating because of this. You can see the main tear on the first picture and the weaking of the fabric beneath it where more tears are starting... again ONE CYCLE in the washer.

STOP! Do Not Order Until you Read the Changes the Manufacturer has made!!!
I own 6 of these rugs and absolutely LOVE them. I have had them over a year and wash them numerous times a week due to a large number of active dogs. Even with the numerous washes the brown color has not faded. I recently ordered two more rugs and was soooo disappointed with the changes the manufacturer has made. The rugs now have a rubber backing and are considerably less weight. In addition, they recommend HANG DRYING the rug! I contacted Dog Gone Smart Customer Service and was told rubber backing was added due to complaints the rug slides around. Yes the rug can move but simply placing a small piece of non-slip rug gripper under the rug works great. Although I am not aware of a rug that will not move when you have dogs playing or running across them. My thoughts.....the rubber backing will eventually wear and start crumbling because I do not have time to hang dry the rugs therefore I am returning them. My hope is the manufacturer comes to their senses and goes back to making the best ever rug with the same quality heavy weight and no rubber backing! In the mean time I am scouring local stores for the original quality rugs and stocking up:)

Every dog owner should have one...
AMAZING - honestly, I can't get over how effective this mat is. I have 2 large golden retrievers; I live in Ireland (where it rains ALL the time; I have a muddy back garden; I have cream floor tiles, and since getting this mat and putting it in front of the back door where the dogs come in, I now have clean floors again - brilliant, BRILLIANT product.

If you have dogs these mats are great for couch, floors and car seats - really great product
I have bought about 7 of these in various sizes. Yes they are expensive but, they are easy to wash and come out perfect from the washing machine.Give them a shake outdoors before taking them to the washing machine, you’ll be shocked to see what falls out. These really trap moisture and mud and dirt. There are cheaper versions but they don’t have the same quality anti slip on the underside and that’s really a good feature if you want to put them on a couch or bench. The cats also like snoozing on them.

Doesn’t work. I am STILL forever cleaning paw prints off the floor.
This is seriously not worth the amount I spent on it. Nowhere near in fact. I did the research as I was at the end of my tether with muddy pawprints. People in their reviews rave on about it so I though it must be amazing. My wife said, ‘How much?!’ And I said, ‘Trust me dear, this is what’s been missing from our lives...’ It’s basically just a fluffier version of a bathmat and I fail to see actually how a bathmat wouldn’t really be any different. My dog goes out in the back garden to do its business and I still have to physically get my dog’s paws and wipe them on the mat otherwise my floor is filthy. In fact I have to put the vet bed on front of it so I can wipe the paws and it can run onto it to try to get any extra mud. Disappointing to say the least. Save your money.

A must have when you have a dog - makes a wet winter easier
Yes these are a bit expensive but you won’t be disappointed. When you take it outside and shake it you’ll be amazed at what falls out of it. Great in winter when your dog comes in wet and wants to sit on the couch, or in the car after a walk. The non slip back surface is also great helps stop it slipping off the bench. The cats love it too.

Door mats for dirty paws
The dog mats are brilliant, the boys(2 dogs), come in with dirty paws and once they have walked over the mats(2 mats together) clean paws. Not cheap but worth it. Would have gone for the runner but to expensive
