good quality tools
a bit over pricy for that kind of steel, but save some money on buying both scissors as a kit. good quality, should last long with good care, only concern is how to sharpen them without ruining the original performance.

Bent the scissors out of shape on first branch cut
I bought these scissors because they are supposed to be carbon steel. They may be such, but not very well built. I used the long scissors to remove a branch from one of my bonsai and in doing so the handles bent inward. As a result the scissors no longer close making them useless.

GOOD VALUE, TIME WILL TELL IF THEY ARE PRONE TO RUSTING
Appear to be well made, I have been wiping them down after each use and will apply oil with cloth every other use. Time will tell if they are prone to rusting.

Awesome Made In Japan Bonsai Scissors
Super sharp, quality bonsai shears. The two Shear kit is a great deal for the quality of tools. Both were well packaged and are Made in Japan. With any non-stainless tool, make sure they are cleaned and oiled after every use and they should last a lifetime!
