Legato Etudes for French Horn

I began serious study of these legato etudes over 40 years ago and I still play through them to this day.There is nothing better, in my unsolicited opinion, for the hornist that producing a lyrical legato timbre on Italian vocalese transcriptions.The incorporation of bass clef is essential for hornists and Shoemaker did well to maintain the correct balance between bass and treble clef transcribing.The phrasing separated by breath marks is quite helpful and will challenge breath control.Program these as recital pieces for solo horn. You don't need boring Mozart concerti to be a star.

Exactly what I needed. Came folded slightly with bent corners. But satisfactory. My student will put it through worse, I'm sure.

This is a great book to focus on tone and consistency while playing lower ranges. This has helped my stability and confidence a lot with my overall tone quality on the horn. I highly recommend getting this!

Nice book of legato etudes. The Kling is better.
