Q: Is it heavy enough that it won't bang against the door if it is windy outside?

It's not very heavy at all, but in my experience, it doesn't move much either. The way it fits around the handle keeps it in place pretty well for me at least. Might depend on the shape of where you are placing it. It's not like paper, heavy plastic, but not heavy in weight.
