Everything about this doll says superior quality -- the clothes are meticulously made with a fine maroon taffeta fabric with a tiny vine-like design, to the navy ivy leaf embroidered ribbon trim at the bottom, to the way the hem is finished off with black piping. The white apron is full and its cut-out embroidery follows through on the ivy theme with a double layer of ivy leaves at the bottom. The doll's face is beautiful, with real, long eyelashes, lovely golden blonde braided hair tied off in maroon bows and glowing peach colored lips. The doll has three layers beneath her skirt - a cotton slip with lace trim, a nylon slip with lace trim and pantaloons with lace trim. She wears off-white stockings and shiny black leather shoes with a strap across the ankle. As an outstanding completion to this ensemble, the doll wears a black felt "cap" magnificently embroidered in gold and shades of green (ivy leaves) with navy and maroon ribbons hanging from each side. The doll has porcelain extremities, a "soft" body and is 12" tall.
