Certainly NOT good value for your money at $30 for made in *hina with *hinesium quality materials you should NOT expect much!!!I got this as a gift for a younger family member and I simply wouldn’t buy this again for any reason whatsoever.This review shouldn’t be a negative reflection on the seller since the package arrived within a reasonable time and everything was as described and well packaged. I am not a long-haul hiker, just a day hiker. Who has gotten lost in the woods before, so yeah I need some basic stuff with me. I tried out most of the items, other than the fish card, really can't figure out what most of the stuff on the card is for. Knife is sharp, saw works, compass works, etc. The only concerns I would have are that the flashlight does NOT signal SOS. The description says the 3 settings are Constant, Flickering, and SOS. The 3 modes on the one I received are high beam, low beam, and flickering. The only other concern is the case. I feel like the latches are cheap and will not last long before breaking off. They are just plastic with plastic hinges.

A+++ Were I in a survival situation this would be the one kit I would choose to have with me. There is SO MUCH gear in a compact but sturdy case! 4 snaps keep the lightweight plastic case closed. And it's flexible enough that I don't have to worry about it breaking. This is one purchase you won't regret.

Items are all cheaply made, which for some of them, isn't a problem. Don't expect to use any of these items in a real survival situation however. For example, the saw broke in the BARK of a soft pine branch. The Knife doesn't fully open (weak spring) and the tactical pen fell apart and doesn't fully retract the ink cylinder.

A lot of equipment for the price. Will buy again as gifts for others
