After checking these out, I felt safe letting a bunch of 2 year olds use them. They had lots of fun cutting paper. My 2 year old daughter loves making a frayed edge around a piece of construction paper.They are blunt at the edge and I feel really confident that accidental injury isn't at all likely. So I'd almost be ok leaving my daughter to play with these unsupervised (i.e. at her craft table in the playroom while I'm in the nearby kitchen) EXCEPT that they do cut hair. I tested this on my own hair, and yup - easy cut.So, although it seems cutting off one's own hair is an inevitable rite of childhood, I'm not ready for that yet. These are great scissors - just don't mistake "blunt tip kids scissors" as a total free pass.They probably won't unintentional injury, but there's still a whole bunch of damage that a preschooler with scissors can do.

These scissors are small, for classroom and kids' use, but fit grown hand, too. They cut extremely well. Smooth, sharp, pleasant. Reminiscent of old original Fiskars quality, before Fiskars became a sell-out.

Quite safe with blunted ends. We bought three pairs initially, then purchased this larger pack so we could have plenty of extra. Our 2 and 3 year olds love cutting paper, grass, anything!

Scissors are handy to have (and my wife the knitter often needs some) but you can't take them through airport security. UNLESS they are short and have blunt tips like these ones! The TSA allows them, as do most foreign airport security agencies.But sometimes the agents don't follow their own rules. That's when you'll be glad you bought a dozen of them at such a good price and can easily replace the confiscated ones.

Good quality scissors. I use them for a 5 year old. While the tip is blunt, the blade is a bit sharp, so I recommend for 5 and up, or with supervision.

My 4 year loves them. So much nicer then cheap safety scissors. She has much better control because she can get more then one finger in the lower hole.

Bought 3 of these for my daughter's Kindergarden class room. These are perfect scissors for 4 and 5 year olds!The only thing that would have been helpful would have been more colors for the kids to choose from with the 12 pack.

Eh. Quality not the same as individual scissors.. seemed cheap and not as sturdy. Was disappointed since I use many many Fiskars products. This one didn't cut it.Also for smaller children - very short.
