It works - It's a Mallet, it did it's job. Hey the hook on the end is brilliant for taking out the tent pegs without getting your nails dirty ;)

For under 10 bills, held together for the first few uses no problem. I don't doubt it'll fall apart at some point, but it's under 10 bucks :)

Very useful for camping, but I have my doubts as to the durability of the hook. It was already bent when I received the mallet. I was able to easily bend it straight, but I won't be surprised if it bends again or comes out of the mallet completely. That said, I've already used it camping and it worked fine. Worst case, even if the hook comes out completely, I'll still have a useful rubber mallet. I'm considering picking up a different stake puller though, such as this  Gray Outdoor Camping Bivouac Tent Awning Tarps Swags Peg Puller Extractor , but not until the one on the mallet gives out.
