Will get you out of a slick situation
OVERALL: These straps will get you out of a bad situation but don't expect them to last long. They break easy with the fail point being where the strap connects to the plastic.INSTALL: Overall easy to install but you must thread the strap thru your rim making it hard if you have a lot of spokes or low profile tiers.RIDE: BUMPY! even at a 10MPH. The plastic is a little over 1/4in thick but this is good for snow

It won't last - do not buy - this is a very bad product.
Bought this chain set, thinking it's easy to put on and remove, but that wasn't the case. Putting on is not so bad, but taking off is super tough. We had to use the hammer to knock loose the rips. And the main problem is that we've only used them like 2-3 times and they're already ribbed. See my pix. Do not buy this product. Such a waste of my money. We purchased the Security Chain Company SZ143 Super Z6 Cable Tire Chain for Passenger Cars, Pickups, and SUVs - Set of 2 and they're easy to put on and take off and they will last a long time.

Studs immediately started to fall out
It is difficult to get the straps as tight as needed and the straps loosened a bit very quickly, but then seemed to stay the same. I recommend having some zip ties on hand to help keep the extra strap length tight. Some of the brass studs immediately ripped out literally just in the space needed to roll forward and put the last couple straps on the wheel (I had my parking break on for this 3 ft of movement, but that shouldn’t have made a difference). Others fell out over the next few miles too apparently. I may need to get a replacement item or return since they broke in this way on the first use.I do like the concept of being able to use them on multiple vehicles though. And they did provide good grip on icy roads. More bumpy than normal cable chains though. Also the packaging was grimy with literal trash in the bag and random hairs from humans and apparently cats also.

Don't waste your money
These are totally useless. We put them on our car after a snow storm to get out of the driveway. My husband wanted to show me how easy they are to use. He practically had to crawl under the car to get them attached. One spin of the tires and they began flying off. There were 2 or 3 straps that actually stayed on until we got out of the driveway to the plowed road, then we couldn't get them off. However they came off just by driving a block on the plowed road. Complete waste of money. They didn't help with traction, we ended up shoveling our way out anyway.

Good to have when needed.
I have these to my son to use in case things got bad while he was driving across the mountains. He didn’t need to use them but the peace of mind was priceless. The

Don't spend your money on these.
They were easy enough to put on but EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM BROKE the first time using them. I bought them to have some peace of mind while driving on snow. They look heavy duty but they're not. Don't buy these.
