Not for everyone
This book is not for everyone. My daughter has a demand avoidant profile and found it very stressful to have all these RULES. She also felt there was lots of small, intense writing and long lists. I agree: the layout is poor and there could be more pictures and cartoons to break the intensity. But most off putting was the repeated phrase ‘us asperkids’. My daughter doesn’t identify herself as an ‘asperkid’ and found her exposure to this book alienating rather than encouraging. Took us several steps back even.

Best and most practical book ever written on Aspergers' to date
This book contains a set of life-changing rules, that will enable the Aspergers' sufferer to function well in a neurotypical world. It is written in a simple and entertaining style, which is easy to learn. It is far superior to the other well known books on the subject, which offer little practical help. I recently met an adult person who appeared to have Asperger's tendencies so I gave this book to him. Within a very short period of time he was able to identify his Aperger's tendencies that caused him to be bullied as a child, which damaged his self-esteem and greatly affected his quality of life. This person's self-esteem has greatly increased and he is better able to interact with neurotypicals. He is now awaiting a formal diagnosis.

Not just for Asperkids!
Bought it for my teenage son, read it first and found it very useful myself so I bought another copy. Really liked the 'we're in this together' outlook and sharing of personal gaffs which made it relatable and prevented any feeling of being patronized by the author making the actual information easy to absorb and process.

Looks really good for the age bracket
I've bought this for my son for his tenth birthday coming up next month. Flicking through it I have no doubt it will be an invaluable resource for him throughout the next few critical years. He's an avid reader, which is good because it is quite wordy, and I'm sure he will have no problem getting to grips with it. Really pleased I chose this one. Might have a read myself first!

Highly recommend
This book is absolutely amazing for preteen/teens with Asperger Syndrome. It teaches my daughter in ways that I wouldn't of thought of and makes what normally seems alien to her so much easier to understand. It's such a great guide for this age group as they face all the pressures of growing up in a world that doesn't completely make sense to them.It puts things in a language and gives relatable examples that she and others can much easier understand.Very happy with this purchase.
