NexxusKeraphix Gel Treatment, for Damaged Hair 0.67 oz, 2 count

I've purchased this product in the past and in my experience this works very well for damaged hair. This time however the product smelled off like it was old. The results were similar, but the smell was strong and sour.

The ingredients are great I have kinky curly hair 3c/4a corse hair and had heat damage and I also have bleached hair and this has helped so much in reviving my hair. The is a product for severe damage as it says on the packaging so people with straight hair or hair that only needs light protein should not use it bc it would be too much. My hair doesn’t feel too dry after but I always follow up with a a deep conditioner ( why would you not) if you have curly hair, color treated/bleached or heat damaged hair this will really help it’s way better than the aphogee treatment is which barely has any protein in it

Kicking myself! I read the 1 star reviews from those that believed they had a received a fake product...but hey, I was feelin’ fancy and decided to take my chances anyway.So, it arrives, and this product is packaged exactly the same as Nexxus. Oh, Amazonia. Always there for me! Then I uncapped it and the four horsemen arrived. El kabong the smell was absolutely rancid and was the texture of....motor oil? So what did I do? Well, genius me put it in my hair....I have no logical reason for this. Blinded by fumes? I got nothin’. I had to rinse it out almost right away because the smell was putrid. Is rotting castor oil a scent? While “rinsing”, the texture of my hair completely transformed into dry, brittle and smelly! I did NOT enter the shower with that hair! Once out of the shower, and still trying to dislodge the stench that had permeated my skull, I tried to brush my hair out and it was completely matted. Dry. Brittle. What is this stuff? My scalp hurt for days and I sincerely considered shaving my head about three days into my recovery. I will never purchase this product, real or unreal, again. It took days of deep conditioning to get my hair and scalp feeling semi-normal. This stuff ruined my hair, inflamed my scalp, burnt my nose hairs and I’m going to need someone to write me a note to give to my hairdresser. Do not buy.

BEWARE!!! THIS IS NOT KERAPHIX!! I believe I received a tampered product?? The oil had a rancid sickening sweet smell which is hard to explain but maybe just castor oil? It did nothing for my hair but make a mess! I rinsed it out after a couple of minutes because the smell was awful making me sick to my stomach and for fear of ruining my hair. I rewashed my hair and got Oraplex no. 3 sitting on it right now and will follow up with conditioner. I honestly have no idea what I just put in my hair!!! DO NOT BUY!
