Really good value for chairs at this price level. Firmish, with good support for lower back. Easy reclining. Sloped footrests for comfort.It seems that other reviewers feel that the assembly of these chairs is difficult. Fiddly maybe, but not difficult. Don't be put off from buying these chairs.A couple of assembly tips for those who may be interested:-1. Unpack boxes into a good size working space. Instructions are small print so take a photo that you can zoom into to make reading easier. Familiarise yourself with the tools and small parts which are in a well labelled bubble pack.2. Assemble legs/feet loosely on a hard, flat surface. Tap to level and then fully tighten allen bolts.3. Connect the seat cushion and backrest hinge bolts before sliding into and attaching to base assembly. Clean excess grease from adjustment arm to avoid soiling.4. I assembled alone but maybe have a another helper to pass and hold parts.

A couple of the bolt fixings were cross threaded, which made assembly very difficult. One of the footstool plates and one of the arm fixings were affected. It took some engineering skill to overcome this, so would not be easy for someone without this knowledge.Once assembled the chair and footstool are comfortable and pleasing to the eye.

Chair looks really smart and up market. Goes well in our conservatory. Footstool useful accessory for really relaxing!

This chair replaced a similar one that had worn out and we did not want to spend a fortune. We opted for this because of the style and colour and I spent a happy afternoon putting it together - if you follow the instructions its easy. BIG TIP - if you have never assembled somethging like this before, start with the footstool. Its an easy way to get used you the assembly intructions and tools - from memory, just an Allan Key. We now fight the cat for ownership as it is so comfy.

I looked for weeks before I settled on this chair. I agree with the other comments that the instructions could be improved but if you don't think about it too hard it makes sense. My wife helped by holding the back of the chair else it would have been a faff trying to do it on my own. I haven't had it long but I love it. I love the chair because it looks nice, it isn't massive and dominant like some, the colour is lovely but most of all it's properly comfy. I can fall asleep in minutes.

This reclining chair and footstool are an absolute must! The quality is excellent, not just for the price but in general. The colour we chose (lagoon) matches our dining chairs exactly and looks fantastic against our modern white units. We took a bit of a gamble ordering it as you never know with on-line but I have to say we have ended up with a piece of furniture that was well worth that gamble and looks like it's worth a lot more than the purchase price. It's now the favourite chair in the living room and is so comfortable that it's hard to get the family out of it! Would recommend to anyone.
