The black sponge is too firm/dense. The mini is good but not something I reach for often. The pink one - it is a dream. I like it better than any of my other sponges, including the bb. I am a die hard real techniques sponge fan. But this one is even better. I like to have several in rotation and can't afford more than one "real" beauty blender at a time. The pink sponge in this set is soft and bouncy and just fabulous. Wish I could buy it on its own. Best dupe for the beauty blender I've tried. Easier to clean, too. AND the color doesn't bleed, which has always bugged me about the more expensive blender. Four stars only cause the black one is too firm and dense.P. S. I paid full price!!

I have actually bought 3 sets of these sponges, and they're great! My first set is still the one I still use (pink, black, and tiny green sponge); I gave the second set to my friends, and the last set remains rarely used (with a purple sponge instead of pink). I bought my first set at the beginning of September 2016. The pink sponge has a few cracks, but that's with almost everyday use for about 5 months, and I haven't noticed that the cracks affect my makeup application at all. The pink one is definitely my favorite, and although I haven't used an authentic Beauty Blender, I have used the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge--I didn't like that one at all. It does absorb some foundation, but the end result is worth the minimal loss. It really helps sheer out thick/mousse-y foundations, but I also love the way it applies liquid foundations as well. The pink sponge is so soft and perfect to use for applying foundation; I even use it wet for powder. The green one is great for concealer and small spot application (it's also incredible soft). The purple sponge that I got in the last 2 sets is a little firmer than the pink one, and honestly, I just don't like it as much. The black sponge is even firmer than the purple one, and I don't use that one as much, but it's still nice to have. Overall, it's a great set of sponges, and they are definitely worth the price! I will absolutely be purchasing this product again.

I must say that I do like using the two large sponges. I use them almost daily. However, a week after I started using my sponges, I started seeing tiny holes in the purple one. I'm still using them though because even with that I like them. I think they blend out makeup pretty ok for the most part. Sometimes it leaves splotches/blotches and when they happens ittakes a while for the foundation to blend, but that could also be because of the foundation itself, the limited water in the sponge or just the sponge itself...I'm not sure.

I love this product! I received it fast. Bought this almost two months ago and being the first time trying out a beauty blender, this works perfectly. The 3 piece blender set makes it convenient. You can choose to use the big one or the small one to go for smaller details on the face. Normally (after buying this), I always use the big one. Having two in the set is wonderful because you can use the other big sponge when the first big one that you use gets torn or worn out, uncomfortable to use anymore, while using the small one sometimes. They kinda will get worn out at the same time so I could purchase another one. One more thing that I like the most about the product. Jouvenet gives an e-book to get started with it. This is specially helpful to me since I have no experience using a sponge blender with makeup or using any kind of makeup. And they're so nice to reach out for me too for that. Definitely a great customer service. I took a long time to write this review so that I could use the product considerably more than a few times to get the hang out of it. Yes! Wonderful! I recommend it!!!

I have tried a few blender sponges. This one isn't the best one I've used. It soaks up my foundation and it doesn't apply the foundation the first time. I had to put 3 layers of foundation on to even see my foundation on my face. After the 3 times I put on my foundation it did look good. But I don't want a sponge to soak up my foundation. If your looking for a cheap alternative to the beauty blender then this may be for you, it just wasn't for me. I will be giving mine to a friend.

This is my second set of Jouvenet Beauty Blenders, if that says anything. They're a great dupe for the overpriced Original BeautyBlender that you can get from Sephora and the like - plus you're getting 3 blenders for less than what you would pay for one BeautyBlender, so that's a value in and of itself. I honestly CAN NOT think of any cons for these - they expand SUBSTANTIALLY if you use them damp, I'd say almost close to twice their original sizes, even for the little one. I bought my other set last November and despite regular cleanings with just plain bar soap they never experienced any major tearing or chunks coming off (the worst I'd say was maybe a small crack in the purple one, but not even enough to diminish it's usage). I only purchased a replacement set because I lost two of them and the last one fell in the toilet, lol I will definitely be purchasing these again and highly recommend them!!!!

Yes, the Beauty Blender sets the bar and still has the best innovations, with Real Techniques as a less expensive great dupe for it as far as (some) applications (the shape can be prohibitive in some places). But this is an EXACT DUPE for BB. The little mini is everything- amazing for under the eye and around the nostrils. I've purchased other sponges here on Amazon from 3 other manufacturers (Caetle, Mersuii,Juju)- Caetle and Mersuii being too hard and porous (it actually TAKES OFF your foundation as you're stamping it in) and Mersuii being okay. I'm a makeup artist and the BB has been a game changer. When I'm a long job, work will pay for BBs, but in between projects, I buy my own. The search for a dupe is over!I would advise to run water, squeeze and dry before you use it the first time, because there seems to be some kind of cleanser that foams up in it, which would interact with your foundation.
