I put this right in front of my Breville Barista Express and it looks great. I have soapstone counter tops and they scratch pretty easily, so having a mat to tamp espresso on is important. Protects the flat surface and the edge of the counter. I’ve also started opening wine bottles on it to avoid scratches and keep my bottles from slipping while I uncork them. Sturdy build.
