Long, but real, review with tips on assembly.
Okay, I read the reviews on this before I bought it and I was skeptical of the quality at first. When it arrived, the box was heavily damaged, to the point of being torn completely open at one end. Luckily, the stand was wrapped in foam and undamaged, so only UPS to blame there. I have seen other reviews about how difficult this thing is to put together, or how the wood is cheap or not painted very well. This, however, was not the case in my experience. The paint is lovely and the wood is of decent quality. Once it was all together, it is sturdy enough for my 42" flatscreen and all of my other devices. The instructions read like Lego Blocks and are honestly very easy to understand, and every piece is labeled. It comes with all the required hardware and all you really need is a battery powered screw driver. I was able to put this together, by myself, in about 2.5 hours.Tips for assembly:-Grab a cordless screwdriver and a small flashlight to help you see down into the predrilled holes.-Set every piece out with the label stickers up so you can see them. This makes finding them much easier.-Open the hardware bag slowly, even though it comes with extra screws, there aren't any extra bolts; which support the main shelves.-Take your time. All of the holes are pre-tapped, so you have an idea of where the screws are going in. This also keeps the wood from splitting.-There will be occasions where the screws don't line up with the predrilled holes, this is okay! Just screw the screws in slowly to keep the wood from splitting and you will be just fine.-Assemble this in a very open space, not in a cramped area between a couch and a wall. Trust me on this, it will save you time moving furniture.-Above all else, don't get frustrated with it. Its not made of steel and pieces can be broken if you use too much force or go to quickly with the screw gun.Hopefully this advice helps those of you who are on the hunt for a nice ladder style unit that won't break the bank. I rate this very high on the value for money scale. If you take your time and follow the instructions, you will have a very nice TV stand.

Not as pictured
I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about, maybe I just got a bad shipment. The "wood" is pressed particle board and it isn't a clean vaneer finish as pictured above. It is actually a flat paint. The color isn't walnut it is cherry red. It arrived dinged, scratched and just not painted in spots with bare particle board showing. It says it holds a 52" TV, false, it wouldn't hold my 48" TV. I got the wrong parts and pieces shipped to me and didn't even bother putting it together. Threw it all back into the box and am waiting to ship it back. Speaking of shipping, that was the only positive part, It said it would arrive in 2 weeks and showed up in 4 days, still not good enough to get 2 stars, sorry ABC Distributing/LSI. Not worth the $90 or $25 shipping. Here's to hoping they send me a refund for not only the product but the shipping and don't make me pay for the return shipping. Buyer beware.

A little difficult to assemble. Other than that it is very sturdy and easy to set in place. It looks great.

Looks really nice with lots of storage opportunity
Took two weeks to arrive and was a little difficult to assemble; needed two people, but it is well worth it. Looks really nice with lots of storage opportunity. Great price too!

Read the other reviews!
This is easily the cheesiest piece of furniture I have ever purchased. I read the other reviews but couldn't quite believe it could be that bad. It is. The package arrived with holes in the box and falling apart. One shelf has a fairly large dent. The painted finish on the wood scratches off with barely a touch. Seams and joints don't line up well. The shelves are thin and I question how much weight they can handle without bowing eventually. Assembly was pretty easy because there isn't much to it. It includes a way to bolt it to the wall (which should stabilize it some) but there are no openings for routing cables if you do that unless you drill your own or run them in the front. I kept it because it is not worth the hassle to diassemble and return such a large heavy item.

Faux wood + cheap construction = Buyer Beware
The TV stand is unique looking; however, it was clear as soon as we took it out of the packaging that it was cheaply made. The faux wood look scratches very easily, which given the assembly manner, means you're going to need to be extremely careful not to nick at all. This is very difficult given the fact that you need to balance it on various ends in order to get access to holes for inserting the locking screws. The predrilled holes were not always lined up with the corresponding pieces, and some of the holes, the screws would not stay in. Once it was finally assembled it looked ok, minus all the nicks and scratches on the surface.
