Boston Harbor WK-618E-3L Swing Arm Lamp Holder for Desk Lamp, Brushed Nickel,Grey

I first bought this lamp a year ago for my home office desk and I love it so much I just bought a second one to put on the other side of the room on the end table next to my new lounging chair. It doesn't take up much room with either its footprint or its overall height and width, unlike many table lamps with large shades.This lamp is very sturdy - the base is heavy enough that you can easily adjust the angle without the lamp tipping or scooting around on the desk. Everything is super adjustable, including the tension of the screws that hold each joint in place. I use a 40w LED bulb so it's always cool to the touch, but I imagine it would get really hot if you use incandescent. The finish is a really nice brushed steel/nickel look and fits in nicely with a variety of decors. Honestly it looks like at least a $75 product, if not more.I will say that the adjustability comes with the downside of a finger pinch hazard. If you have little ones, keep this lamp away from them. Grown ups should use caution too, for that matter, although I've never pinched myself.Overall I'm extremely happy with this lamp. It works better and looks nicer than many similar products that are far more expensive.

Totally happy with this lamp. I wanted the flexibility of an architects lamp for my workspace at home, but didn’t want things looking like I was at an office. This is sturdy, well-made, stays in the desired position and it looks fantastic. Metal. Real thing metal. In the age of such lamps having fixed-in-place LEDs, I wanted one that I could put any bulb in. With a standard socket, I added a WiFi color-changing bulb I can control with Alexa so it acts as a sweet ambient lite aimed at the wall at nights.

This is a really nice lamp. The base is very heavy, so no chance of it falling over. And the arm is quite flexible, and should be able to accommodate most lighting needs at the desk. You can stick any A19 bulb in it, because the housing is deep enough to allow full sized bulbs, either CFL or LED. I use a daylight LED bulb in the lamp.The only thing I could ask for that this lamp does not have, is a built in dimmer. It seems like this should be a more available function, since LED bulbs are usually dimmable. But that didn't prevent me from buying this particular lamp. It's looks go a long ways with it's sharp nickel finish and the price is right. Overall, I recommend this lamp for both it's functionality and looks.

I'm very happy with this light overall. It looks great. All the moving parts work smoothly. The on/off switch is crisp at the same time it's easy on the fingers. The springs and hinges seem really durable. The base is heavy and heck and keeps the lamp firmly in place. My only reservation is that the point where the base connects to the lamp stem is poorly designed. A little piece goes into this hole, and you can secure it with a screw (provided), but the fit is not snug. The lamp will not fall off the base (after all, it's attached with the screw), but it can wobble around because the little stem does not fit snugly in the receiver hole. If the company could fix this one design flaw, I think we would have a true classic of quality and affordability.P.S. For those wondering about lightbulbs, I use a 75w-equivalent LED bulb of 1100 lumens. I searched at Home Depot for one of the smaller bulbs to make sure it fit under the hood and didn't shine in my eyes. Found one that did. Another bulb I tried was a 100w-equivalent LED and it stuck out about half an inch. The hood of the lamp gets mildly warm -- I would say maybe 110 degrees. Nothing bad enough to burn you or any toddler, but warm. Obviously it would get much hotter if you used an incandescent or spiral fluorescent, which use more energy.P.P.S. The exact bulb I use, for those interested, is the Cree 75W Equivalent Daylight A19 Dimmable LED Bulb. It's about $17 at Home Depot and I think it's a fantastic LED bulb for a reasonable price. You can also get "soft white" if you want it to look more like an incandescent, but I find "daylight" to be better for reading.

When I bought this lamp on Amazon, I read the reviews and one of the people said "nice little lamp". So here I was picturing a smaller-than-average swing arm desk lamp. Well it's not "little". It's not huge either. It' NORMAL SIZE. Which is awesome and will fit on my small desk. The base is surprisingly (pleasantly) heavy, preventing the lamp from flopping over or needing a hand on the base to hold it while adjusting the rest of the lamp.This lamp also looks MUCH better in person. This is quite a crappy product picture on here and as soon as I get a chance, I will upload my own photo. But if you are considering buying this lamp because it's a good price and you need something simple, LOOK NO FURTHER. This is the one. :)
