If you want brand new photos of Freddie living life to the full, do yourself a favor and buy this!
I can’t say enough positive things about Thor and Lee’s book. After reading it cover to cover, desperate to turn the page to see yet another brand.new.picture of Freddie, I selfishly and immediately wished for another book with more new pictures. I suspect Lee has them! I hope the arduous publishing process didn’t discourage them too much. I’m so happy! I’m so happy to read your vignettes about your years (1980-1991) of friendship and escapades with Freddie. It’s endearing and totally lovely to see this side of him, away from work, living, and loving life as the regular gay man that he was! I am overjoyed at this book. Freddie clearly loved these guys dearly and vice versa. He was a generous, down to earth gay man who truly loved life and lived it to the full as evidenced by these pictures and stories, and they even included handwritten cards Freddie sent them over the years. He always signed them Moma or Mother! He is just too much! I love seeing him so natural and comfortable in his skin. Can’t say enough. I’ll shut up now! When is the next one coming? Andrea McRae USA

Love you Thor and Lee, thanks so much for sharing this with us fans!
Oh thank you so much for this book!! I loved seeing Freddie being his real self..he is just as warm and sweet and generous as I've imagined. Didn't know if I could love him anymore than I already did. He looks so natural, well I guess anyone would when they are with friends, not having to be a certain way or try to live up to some image. The pictures are magnificent. There is such a warm , kind look in Freddie's eyes. If you think you've seen that before in photos, just wait. Throughout I just wanted to give Freddie a great big hug. There is one huge problem though. The book is not long enough and there are not enough photos! I enjoyed this so much, and burst out laughing at the time Freddie had to " pull rank"! I can't say thank you enough . You are so fortunate to have known him. Thanks for sharing this part of him, and these stories, with us, his fans.

A fun peek “behind the curtain”
I found the book entertaining. (Im not sure why someone would write a negative review). Its a coffee table book with never before seen pics of Freddie being himself around trusted friends. The stories are from the perspective of the friends. Its their truth and their story to tell. The pictures were a peek behind the curtain of a very talented man. We don't often get that perspective with celebrities from the decades before reality TV. Enjoy it for what it is......a look back at an enjoyable, deep friendship with someone who probably just wanted a bit of normalcy out of the spotlight.

A beautiful gift to Freddie and his fans!
I loved this book so very much! You could tell it was written with so much love for Freddie. It was heartwarming to get a glimpse into the part of his life where he never had to hide his feelings and could truly be himself. And the pictures are absolutely priceless! Thank you Lee and Thor for sharing this with us, his fans! I'm so glad I bought this book and the donation to the MPT makes it a perfect gift to Freddie and his fans. I'm sure he's looking down with much pride and admiration. Thank you again! xx

Freddie fan loves it
As a Freddie fan who enjoys as much info on Freddie as possible - I adore him and his and Queen's music! - this book is a welcome addition to my Freddie library. Although the criticisms are correct, that the photos are not studio quality and the writing is simplistic, I enjoy the book for these very reasons. It is real. It is a truth. It is from the heart of these men. I recommend.

Not even worth anything above $4.99
The only “new” pictures were grainy pics of the authors themselves. All the other photos were available with an easy Google search or seen in the documentary “Freddie’s Loves”.They pretty much confess they only met Jim Hutton on ONE trip made in 1986. So they have absolutely no valuable information on that, even though they offered themselves up us witnesses to their “true love”. How could they possibly know? Especially since they said on that visit Jim Hutton was drunk and went “too far” with his drinking. Which indicates the problem was beyond being pleasantly tipsy.Same old stories that were already told on Queenzone, com in 2017.Some of the dates don’t even add up. Including their claim that they watched the announcement of Freddie’s death live on CNN at noon in CALIFORNIA, when in truth it wasn’t announced until 6pm in California. (12 midnight) UK. One of many discrepancies like that.Ridiculous book.

Wonderful Photos!
Thank you Thor and Lee for giving us a tiny peek into your friendship with Freddie. The intimate photos are wonderful. We know a picture tell a thousand words and these tell the story we all have in our minds about Freddie, that he was a fun, sexy, and generous friend. I think Freddie is getting a kick at watching his fans (old and new) seeing him free and living his best gay life! Oh to be a fly on the wall!! XXOO

Great book for the Freddie Mercury fan. Thanks Thor and Lee.
I was aware of this book from my membership of the now closed down Queenzone forum and was looking forward to it coming out. Thor and Lee were both very active on that forum, and with theirs and the forum users interest in their time as friends of Freddie Mercury from then early 80s to Freddie passing. About the book, well weirdly its the size of an annual, and I'm not complaining here because with my failing eye sight from aging even I can read the words so great. I've shown a photo compared to my Samsung S20 just so your aware of the size. I have yet to read all off this book but if your a Freddie Mercury fan you will love it. Thank you Thor and Lee for allowing us all a piece of your private life during those years.

A Kind Of Magic
This book was an honour to read because we get to see the other side of Freddie Mercuryand the vulnerable generous man he was.The photographs show in detail the other life Freddie had from 1980 to his sad passing in 1991.Freddie could be out and gay in New York and feel so relaxed and just do what he wanted too.Thor & Lee were so lovely with Freddie, and made him happy and you cant wish for more than that.Never had a chance to chat to these two guys on Queenzone site but i am glad the site closed because there was too much bullying from two guys who caused me a lot of grief and were not even true Queen fans, Brenski and Real Wizard. So glad i do not have to deal with losers like them again. This book is 100% brilliant and as and added bonus donations from the book go to the Mercury phoenix trust, happy days ! King Mercury long may he reign !

More for the hardened fans.
Some nice pics of Freddie's private times. Possibly not to everyone's taste tbh and quite a few pics that Freddie isnt in..probably took them himself. No on stage shots. But an interesting look into a part of his life we didnt normally get to see. These were his close friends and colleagues and he told them to do what they liked with the pics, hence this book. Its not a massive read but not too high a price so worth the money if you are a real fan. Possibly not for the casual "greatest hits" fans.
