Why did I wait so long to order... but there is one big issue
This is my first Sugess watch brand purchase. I had this watch on my wish list for a while, but I couldn't bring myself to actually make the purchase. The price for a relatively unknown (to most) people is a bit high, but the watch is absolutely beautiful, so while it could be a little less expensive, I do feel that it's worth it. Pictures really do not do it justice. It's a very comfortable watch to wear, but does wear smaller than it's actual size (case - 40mm watch, 20mm lug-to-lug strap size). Over all, I'm happy that I finally made the purchase. So, if it's been on your wish list for a while, stop wasting time and just order it.There are a couple of negative thoughts as well, though. The biggest negative with watch is the watch hands. The Why on earth would any watch company choose watch hands that blend into the watch dial so much? They're metallic, so if the light is right, you can see them better, but otherwise, they're hard to see in order to actually tell the time.Another negative is the strap that it comes with is a cheap, generic black leather. This wasn't a big issue for me as I had always planned on changing the strap to a bracelet. I immediately swapped it for a stainless Bonklip bracelet and it just makes the whole watch pop.Last negative - and this is something that I do loathe - the watch doesn't have seconds hand hacking. I like to have my watch meticulously set and without that hacking, it'll never be quite/exactly right. This is not a big deal to most people, though, so I did not deduct any stars for this issue.

Great value
This watch feels like it should be more expensive. Works great and looks great.

Great watch but difficult to tell time for poor eyesight
This watch deserves 5 stars. For its price this mechanical watch delivers great value. But for someone who has problem seeing small text, it is difficult to tell the time. As a result, I had to return it. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. The dial face is small, so the hours baton and the 12 and 6 o'clock numerals are correspondingly smaller, and difficult for me to read. If the there were more contrast between the hour markings and the background, then reading the time would not be a problem for me. But the hour markings and background is the same color. For most people with good eyesight this would not be a problem. This watch is a great mechanical chronograph with a rear transparent window for you to enjoy the mechanical movement.

Lasted 10 months - NOT recommended!
Bought this 10 months ago. Worn in a rotation with several other watches with great care as I know these movements are somewhat fragile. Started to wear it again today and after setting I notice that the chrono seconds hand was off a bit, so I tried to start the chrono function. First push of the top (start/stop) pusher and it died. Now neither pusher does anything at all. They do “push” but zero resistance, zero “click” feeling in the pusher, and zero noise. So far it appears to be keeping time, but I will have to wear it a while to be sure. If it is not I will edit this review to include that info. Obviously too late to return for exchange, so I guess it is just wasted money. Too bad. Nice looking and when it was running it was really a nice little watch and impressive aesthetics for the money!

Absolutely beautiful watch
Wasn't sure what I was going to be getting for the money but extremely thrilled. Such a beautiful watch and an amazing piece for someone that is into watches and how they function. Highly recommend this piece.

A rather impressive ‘Non-Swiss,’ Swiss, Chronograph
So, as many have reported before me, this little dandy, based off of the Venus 175 movement (with some, improvements [Swan neck adjustment, larger base case size, etc.], is quite a blessing to those of us who long for an affordable ‘Swiss-quality, manual-wind, chronograph.).If you are looking at this review, you probably already know the story of the sale of the production machinery for this caliber to the Chinese government in the early 1960s… if not, just Google ‘Venus 175, Project 304.’My, new, personal watch, has a graphed +/- 14 seconds per day lag. Not amazing, but… for the price… Who are ANY OF US to complain? If so, there are plenty of much cheaper, highly accurate QUARTZ based movements available by the thousands!I’m just happy to own a little piece of horological history!

Cool chrono!
Beautiful chronograph watch. Especially for the price...Note to mfr - would be cooler if instead of saying "mechanical" on the dial and case. It should show the number of jewels...We know it's mechanical...
