Great if you're looking for a coarse grind for hard spices. It can make some very fine powder too if you grind it longer, but expect there to be a few larger peices so get a sieve too if you want that kind of grind. The lid is easier to take off if you give a bit of a spinning motion while you pull, otherwise it stays on very well - you won't lose anything you put in there.Otherwise, it's well made and sturdy, good weight to it, too. It does it's job and it does it well. Much easier to hold than a pestle and mortar as well.

Easy to uses. Will last for years. No technology required, just strictly manpower. Was able to grind peppercorns. Neat little storage with lid. Easy to use, easy to clean, beautiful appearance, easy to clean, does not retain flavors of previously ground items when cleaned properly, easy to grip. No extra flavors imparted from the grinder. Love it and expect a lifetime of use. Heavy and durable.

Ich bin total zufrieden mit dieser Reibe; benutze sie hauptsächlich für Chilis. Auch die Aufbewahrung im Deckel ist super durchdacht. Erst dachte ich, es ist aber ganz schön schwer, aber gar nicht, dadurch funktioniert es auch noch mal besser. Kann es nur empfehlen!

a princípio pouco familiar no manuseio e bastante pesado. Mas funciona maravilhosamente se você colocar a borda inferior lateralmente em uma superfície firme e girar a ferramenta na direção oposta... É uma pena se você teve a ideia de lavar a ferramenta...

This cast iron spice grinder has rapidly become an essential in my kitchen. I have a monster, hernia-inducing granite pestle and mortar which is wonderful for large quantities of spices, guacamole and other pastes but is a real pain for the odd teaspoon of coriander seed. Cue my little Zazzenhaus. It's always to hand now and grinds to just about any consistency with consummate ease. It looks pretty cool too. Having used it, I'd probably buy it at its current price while gritting my teeth, but it's a bit steep at £33 to buy on spec: it was about 30% less from the same listing under a month ago.
