Cable requires no "install"
So I wasn't sure if I need to track down a drive or if windows would install one for me as soon as I plugged it in. Truth is nothing happened when I connected it to the computer. But once connected to a Cisco switch it automatically reserved a com port and connect to the switch. Very satisfied.

A grand catastrophe has happened with your Cisco enterprise switch, what do you do?Well you certainly don't buy the "official Cisco console cable". If you did you would be getting ripped off, this cable is capable of interacting with the Mini-B switch that I anticipated it would be. It acts in the same way that a USB cable and charger block reacts to my phone, diligently pumping electrons into the phone's non-user replaceable battery. So buy this one over your vendor's recommendation to buy the $120 Cisco cable.
