I love trying out new art supplies for my art journaling! I received this watercolor pencil set and was impressed from the moment I opened it. This set has 48 pencils, paint brush, white eraser, pencil sharpener, and pencil extender all in a canvas bag that rolls up. I really like how everything is in one package that can be taken anywhere easily.I like that there are 48 colors in one set, including silver and gold. What I was most impressed by and really made me happy was how vibrant the colors were when I used them. A lot of watercolor pencils to me didn't get a deep color, which is fine for some art, but I really like getting a deep color when I want it. I used them by coloring and then using a paintbrush to get wet and by dipping the pencils in water for outlining and such.The extras included are really nice except for the paintbrush. The brush shed a lot so I would recommend just throwing it away and using one of your own. I like the pencil extender so it's easier to use them down to the stub.Pros:1. 48 colors in a wide variety.2. If I get them as sharp as I like they break really bad
These pencils do have vivid colors but I have had some difficulty in sharpening them. If I get them as sharp as I like they break really bad. I don't think I will buy these again,.
