Safari Ltd Fairy Fantasies Violet

Papo makes some great figures and our kids love them. They've been collecting them for a few years, only gathering about a dozen, due to the cost of these retail, even with sales. However, here on Amazon, we've managed to get them for half (or less) of the retail costs, and bought a bunch of these for the kids' birthdays. Each figure is amazingly detailed and well made. They pose them in massive battles or just arrange them on their furniture for display. Either way, the figures are fantastic. I've written this same review for each of the figures that we've purchased. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. These will last for years to come.

These made a wonderful decoration for the top of my seven year old granddaughter's birthday cake. She and her friends loved them and, after washing them up to get the icing off, they are on her shelves in her bedroom. They are well made, sturdy and well painted.

Violet seems to be running in a meadow on a perfect summer day. Her skirt is made of purple petals and roses decorate her hair, shoes and top of blouse. Her wings are from a butterfly and match her violet in her skirt. I don't believe her facial features are as distinctive as other fairies are. She is over all a beautiful little fairy and a great addition to any collection and well worth the cost.

Super cute toy but the arms legs nor waist move. These fairies are more like plastic figurines. You cant really do anything with them. They kinda just sit there and look pretty. Ok for a 3 year old but no good for a 6 or 7 year old.

When viewed from the side, the front bodice does not go around under her arm, which makes it look like she is hanging out along the side - hmm, wish these fairies were a little "younger" instead of being so well developed. Very Barbie-ish. I liked the look of these from what could be seen on the website, but there really are better toys out there, these appear to be pretty cheaply made.

Got for my 7 yr. old granddaughter as she was breaking the other garden fairies right and left. She likes to play with them. Hoping these would work and not break. Time will tell if she likes them enough to play with them. I think she will. She was excited when she saw them!

I bought this fairy for a friend's 4-year-old daughter's birthday who is big into fairies. Her mom, however, doesn't much enjoy the commercialization of things so I didn't want to get Tinkerbell or another Disney-type princess. I bought Violet, along with Jasmine and a fairy book. The fairies look just as pictured and are reasonably priced.

Colors quite more dull in person than in any of the photos here.
