Sol Summer Shade Beach Sun Shelter Pop-Up Tent Includes Stakes and Carrying Case.

First I will admit that I have not yet managed to put it back in the carry case. I have watched the videos and I just don't quite get to the last step properly. I have managed to get it into a flat configuration that I have secured with a large potato chip bag clip, don't laugh it works for me. It is well made and has come through me trying over and over to close it with no damage at all. It fits just fine in my garage and in the back of my SUV and I really like that it is larger than I had anticipated. This will be great when we need just a bit of shelter in a hurry and the price was lower than others. I will try again later to put it back in the case but it really doesn't matter to me.

I picked this shelter for my dog to use on our local Long Island beaches where there is no shade. It pops open immediately upon removal from the zippered pouch. That's great! It appears to be very well made; although since I just received it, I can't speak to the durability. It's very light weight so the stakes (which are included) will be necessary to use every time. Here's the problem. The directions for folding it back up to place it back into the pouch are horrible!! It's a drawn person holding the already folded tent and an occasional arrow that means nothing to the reader. It took two of us several tries to twist and turn this flexible structure before we got it to fit in the pouch, and that was more luck than skill. I still have no idea how to do it. If I was on the beach with all my stuff and a dog, I'd be in trouble. There's no way you could try to bring it back to the car to figure it out. The price is great but if you buy this, practice, practice, practice, before you get where you are going. Also, I'm not sure if the silver interior is going to reflect the sun into your eyes and bake you.

I bought this item for my cats to put on the balcony for a hot day... Let me tell you - it is a huge! I am 5-8 and I can pretty much camp/sleep in it. Needless to say, it does not fit onto my balcony. The material is soft and thin, so I don't think it will work for the cats and their claws. It won't work for my dog either - for the same reason. But it could make a nice beach tent, camping shade, outdoor concern, or for a baby in a park. The workmanship seems fine.Be aware, it is really challenging to fold it and put it back in its pouch. And it does not come with any stakes.... It will most definitely will fly away if not weighted down.

I want this for baseball tournaments for my younger son to hang out in. It is a bit bigger then expected, but I think it will be perfect for the ballpark. There were NO stakes included and absolutely no instructions. I am still trying to figure out how to fold it up. Three stars is only due to lack of stakes and instructions. We will see how long it holds up. For this price if it makes it through one season I will be happy.

I received this today and immediately opened it due to reading the poor reviews on trying to fold it back into the carry case. It automatically popped open and then took 5 seconds to fold it back into the carrying case, without looking at the instructions. You need to flip the shelter over so the roof is on the ground, bring both shelter sides together (NOT the opening and rear window sides) and don't let go, then flip it again so it's standing in its tallest position while still holding your first fold and fold the tallest end facing the sky halfway into itself (tuck it). It just goes back into its original packing shape. Very easy and I'm looking forward to using it at the beach for shade and at the park for my dog.

I bought this for my dog when we went to the beach. He didn't really like it, although it did provide the shade I wanted for him. The problem was trying to put it back down. The instructions were useless and at least four of us tried. In the end, we had to google and use a YouTube video. It seems so simple but in reality . . .

Took this to Mexico and it was wonderful while in use. However, it is a pain in the butt to try and fold up and fit back in the little bag. Almost an hour of my husband trying to finagle this thing, we ended up leaving it in the hotel room for the next person. Ugh. But it did work on the beach. Kept the sun off of us.

It is everything you could expect from the listing. The only thing that is done poorly is the crudely drawn directions on how to fit it back into its pouch. By studying YouTube videos on how to close similar sunshades I figured it out and mastered it like a pro. I can't wait to use it in a couple of weeks at a beach on the north shore of Oahu.
