This is great, thanks! I bought my MBPR and immediately spilled bourbon on it, so I had apple refurb it (for half the cost of a new one, so NOT cheap). A year later, my battery--which had less than 100 cycles--was failing. It wouldn't hold a charge for more than about 40 minutes and would go dead at about 20%. I brought it into the Apple store and even though it was obviously a faulty part they installed, they said refurb warranties are 30 days and that I'd have to pay around $250 to replace it. This was 20% the cost, and my computer is saying that , after 30 minutes of use, I still have over 12 HOURS left on my charge. Far, far better than what I would have received from Apple!Only cons: my mbpr didn't have screws holding the battery case down (of the five, there was only 1), four of them were just rubber bumpers and the rails had been attached with adhesive by the refurb guys. Not a big deal but was a little difficult to keep one side down long enough to get the case snapped back on, but including bumpers or screws would have been a little helpful. Also the battery looked used or pre-tested at the very least, and was a little dented in a couple spots, but not terribly. Oh! And the included screwdrivers are great but the size for the case screws wasn't included (a 5 size five point star head).

Not at all happy with this product. The only positive thing I can say is that it was boxed well. First issue was the adhesive sticking to the cellophane and not the battery (see picture). Second issue was the battery not being wired correctly. I am not a battery expert but it was obvious that the "L" & "H" markings on the back of the battery was not the same as the battery I took out, nor was it the same as the battery pictured on the add. Notice that the middle two batteries are backwards. I noticed this before I installed it, (yes I went ahead and installed it because after all, it is about how it is wired not placed). But my computer soon confirmed my suspicion, instead of getting a battery percentage I got a "X" in the middle of the batter icon, plus the laptop died when it was unplugged. I am thankful that I didn't ruin my laptop. I returned for a refund and purchased another battery from a different vendor, it was a little more expensive but didn't have any issues.

UPDATE: 9/22/16 Battery lasted less than a year. Reduced from 4 to 2 star review.First of all, I received this battery in exchange for an unbiased review.The battery I received did not appear to be a new battery; it was clearly a refurbished unit evidenced by old double sided tape still present both on the connector as well as the bottom of the batteries. I'm not too bothered by this but I'm sure others would expect a new battery if the title specifically states that it is new (like this one). In addition there are 4 rubber pads that are attached to the plastic U piece. The battery I received did not have those pads and it was impossible to transfer those from the old battery to this one.On the plus side, of all the batteries on Amazon for the A1502, it was the best price WITH tools. The tools are of acceptable quality and worked great. The battery works well and lasts equally as long as the stock battery did before it went bad.Overall I'm happy with this battery kit. I would suggest that the title be changed if these are in fact re-manufactured units. I would not hesitate to purchase other batteries from them in the future.
