Tough 1Western Leather Browband Draft Bridle

My girl is a Belgian Draft that stands 18hh. She's a rescue. It JUST fits her. I actually had to take the chin strap off because I couldn't buckle it. And the brow band just fits. I also had to change out the bit for a larger one. BUT she does have a very long large head! I've only used it for training and light riding. So it is serving it's purpose. It did need some conditioning but that's to be expected with it being new. It has held up very well though. I was hesitant about this purchase because all the mixed reviews but all in all...it's not a bad product! If my horse was a little smaller, I'd say it would be perfect. But I won't be using it on long trail rides. It's perfect for what I'm using it for right now. Thanks!

I have only had this a few days, but I absolutely love it. My horse is extremely hard to fit. He has a very, very large head. He is half Percheron, and half Appaloosa. Not super tall, but built like a draft horse.Every other bridle I have tried on him has been too small. I also love the length of the reins. They are quite long, as many bridles with rein sets, the reins are extremely short. The only problem I had was getting the bit off, to put a different bit on. It comes with the snaffle, and I use a curb bit. I wound up taking it to a friend to do it for me. I tried for like 2 hours, and even though others said it was very easy to get off, I just couldn't do it. I would say the quality is not super cheap, but nor is it super high end ., kind of middle-of-the-road, but will definitely serve my purpose.

Headstall fits my 17hh Percheron, just barely. The bit is not even close to a draft size bit. Reins appear to be fine. This will work until I can find a better choice. This is as basic a bridal as it comes, serviceable.

If you've ever bought Tough-1 tack before you know they're leather items are just so-so. Draft bridles are hard to come by, so this is a back up in our tack room. It's been oiled a few times, but is still stiff and the reins are flimsy enough that I'm slightly concerned about use with an 1,900 lb Belgian that has her own mind at times. That being said nothing has broken and it fits well. If anything it runs big on a 1900 lb 18hh horse.

Was excited to get this since it is hard to get draft horse supplies local. Well I received it and it seemed fine, the first time I used it on my girl for about 20 minutes did great, 3 days later I went to use it again and as we are walking down the street the strap broke free from the bit and had no proper control of my big girl. So not happy with this product at all. Don't recommend it for draft horses at all.

Can I give zero stars! Do not buy this bridle. It is dangerous! It fell apart the first time my daughter used it! The bolts came out and it fell right off her horse!

Not super high quality but at this price I have 3 and they work great! Very happy to have saved money and have very usable bridles for my 3 half drafts.

Did not fit my Haflinger. Brow band was way too big and the bit was too small. The leather is very low quality and stiff.

Matches my saddle colouring well fits like a glove very pleased
