Crochet Celebrity Slouchy Beanies for the Family

I really want to do the white one on the cover. I haven’t started it yet, but in reading through, I found the instructions are clear & should be easy to follow for most anyone that has done some crocheting.

I have made only one hat from this book but It came out very nicely. I enjoyed the pattern I used (the white one on the cover) it worked up quickly, the pattern was easy to use & produced a very nice hat. I modified it slightly by making 2 extra rounds on the band. I thought it needed to be a little wider. I also made a few decreases to make the fit more snug. I look forward to making more of the patterns in the book soon.

All the hats in this pattern book look super cool. So far, I have made the white hat that is featured on the cover of the book--several times with different colors. This hat is just as gorgeous made as it is on the picture. However, when I followed the directions perfectly, the hat turned out way too big. With the next hat I used a size I needle instead of a K and switched to size 4 yarn instead of 5. This helped, but with the next hat I also skipped one of the increasing rows just to take down the size one more time--PERFECT! Really the hats are 5 star gorgeous, but I cut down to 4 stars because I had to do so much tinkering to get the size of the hat down to something normal instead of something that looked like Chef Boyardee should be wearing. If you've been searching around for cool hat patterns but coming up empty handed, this book is for you.

I have crocheted several of these - for adults and children. Fun to make and the recipients love them! I did have to adjust the hook size. I used an "I" instead of a "K" for the white hat on the cover, and adjusted the size in the size in the last rows smaller than the pattern indicated. I tried them on myself to adjust the sizing. used myself as a model for the sizing.

I've found that the slouchy caps come out a little bit large and the smaller childrens hats come out a little bit small. Or maybe my adult friends have little heads and their children big ones? Be prepared to adjust rows and stitch numbers for gauge and fit. This is a decent beginner book for those who can read patterns and know all of the basic stitches. The light and lacy hat (shown on front cover) has been the most popular hat so far.

This is a good book to make caps for males, females, children and older people too. Everyone likes a slouchy hat, hair day good or bad. It can be dressed up, down, side, back or front droop. You can have a lot of fun making these hats, and when you've got the patterns down pat, pass the book to a beginner and let them step a notch.

This book has some great patterns! I especially like the white one on the front cover. I would definitely pick different colored yarns for many of the patterns (their colors don't fit my wardrobe). I am an beginner crocheter so I'm not sure how easy these will be for me but hopefully in time I can learn to make all of these cute beanies.

I love slouchy beanies, both to make and wear. I love that this tiny pamphlet has so many different patterns in it, for everyone in the family. Lots to pick from if you are making ladies' hats, but men and kiddos have choices too. Just finished my second hat from this one, waiting for my niece to get older so I can make her one.

This book was chosen because I make a lot of hats for the family, and I like to change from knitting to crochet occasionally. It has some very nice hat patterns, and I am very pleased with it.
