This is a great product! Easy to install, love the keypad feature. All of our door knobs are Schlage and they are a quality product!NOTE! we were having the same problem s some of the other reviews mentioned with the knob pulling off. We were about to return it when we read reviews and did a little closer looking at the knobs. DO NOT REMOVE THE EXTERIOR RING! as another customer did. Each knob is specific to each side. The knob with the longer shaft goes on the exterior. I dont believe it said that in the instructions (or I missed it). We had them on backwards initially and the knob would pull off. Once we figured it out and switched them, its worked perfectly and both knobs are secure!

This lock feels beefy and sturdy, looks great. Installation was easy - don’t remove any rings, just figure out how the knob goes on. It took me a few minutes. Locking and unlocking combination is 4 digits. Key code for reprogramming the lock is 6 digits. Did not have any problems at all resetting and setting combinations. It even came with a name-brand 9v battery. All I needed was a regular and a small Phillips-head screwdriver to replace a similar (but much less sturdy) lock. It would be nice to include two keys instead of only one, but hey! It’s a digital lock.

We are using this on an interior door, so I can't speak to the durability of the finish, but the lock looks great and works well. It is easy to program new codes once installed. Installation took us about 40 minutes, including removing our old door knob. Clearer instructions would have made this process easier. I ultimately watched a couple of YouTube videos to get it right.

Installed on side door of detached garage to negate the need for a key for entry from house. Works like a charm. Was easy to install and I was able to get matching hardware or the other doors of my house.

Love this! I am obsessed.. this solved so many problems for us! We have a guest room with its own french door access that we rent out regularly. Understandably people are constantly loosing their key or forgetting to lock up when they leave ... and these particular doors do not have a deadbolt, so we are unable to use some of the other types of keypad door locks... we came across this and VOILA!We partnered this with one of schlage’s matching dummy handles for the other door and it looks and functions fantastically! Now guests just number their way in, while keeping our home secure.. I LOVE THE AUTO LOCK feature! This way we are not relying on people to double check locking it on their way out... and it looks really nice and guest enjoy the convenience of it.To address any potential battery fails down the road... we have a pad lock hide a key (like realtors have) on the premise as a back-up - Easy peasy! Looks good, just as described but the lock function is strange. We have another door with the 2 hole setup with a deadbolt separate from a knob and it works much better. This is an electronic locking mechanism that is engaged by the code and a button and not by a deadbolt. On the back it has a dummy deadbolt key that is an electronic switch, when you turn the deadbolt it electronically moves the lock, I prefer the one I mentioned earlier, where to code engaged the locking mechanism but the turning of the deadbolt physically locks the door. It just sounds funny and it seems like it would break much sooner. The door also opens from the inside even when locked which is strange, so as far as I can tell there is no home position for the deadbolt key, as in sometimes it is vertical and sometimes horizontal when locked.

These locksets are wonderful. We bought our first after we were locked out of our house after vacation. We've had it a few years with no incident and many uses. We bought the other when we realized we'd lost the keys to our back door. Losing keys isn't a problem with these locks; they're combination locks!We've never had a battery go dead on us without very ample warning, and they still operate l-o-o-o-o-ng after that warning. They light up with the key presses so you won't be hunting buttons in the dark. We've set independent passwords for guests so we can cut them off when they leave.This is an excellent product that is incredibly easy to install, ultra-reliable, with long battery life.I would recommend without hesitation.

I used this for my garage door and I love the fact I don't need a key anymore to keep my tools in my garage safe. Very simple to install and works great!
