Great for making doggie door bell
I bought these to make a bell for my puppy to ring when she has to go out. I used a tennis ball cut two slits on each end and strung a thick piece of yarn through it. Then I strung on some of these bells and tied them at different intervals on the yarn on each side. Tied off the top and hung it on my door. She was trained in a day. The bells are not super loud but I only used 4 and I may actually add some more bells to it to make it a little louder. Perhaps if they are strung with an extra loops of yarn so they are hanging and when she hits the ball they swing a bit and maybe hit each other that would probably make more of a jangle. This was a great deal because some of the ready made ones were $16 and it took me 5 minutes to make mine with a tennis ball and yarn I already had.

Addition for Cat Collar
My Big Boy was decimating the chipmunk population and something needed to be done. The tiny bells that typically come with cat collars weren't making enough noise, and in fact when he's in stealth-mode, they didn't make any noise at all. These 1" jingle bells make a "jingle" with the slightest movement. Granted, I didn't need 18 of them, but they're cheap and certainly effective. (the remainder bells are in a zip-lock and occasionally the indoor cats will bat them around ... they love to make a racket). To mitigate the fact that he has to wear this giant bell, I bought him a skull and cross bones collar to go with. He's taking it all in stride

I made a bunny toy with mine...
I strung 5 of these on a string for my bunny. Until then, he could only get attention by banging his water bottle. He loves the string of bells...even when he doesn't want attention, he like to make some noise. The sound is pleasant, and not annoying.

If you're looking for some loud jingle bells, maybe size up.
Got these to attach to our door to teach our corgi puppy to ring them before he goes out. I had hoped that the 1-inch size would mean they were substantially louder than they are. 6 of them strung on a pipe-cleaner is only barely audible in the other room, 15' from the door. The bells themselves seem to be sturdy metal, and they look exactly as described. So, if you're just looking for decorative purposes, these are probably great. But if you're looking for some loud jingle bells, maybe size up.

Nice size, subdued sound
We used these as small favors at our winter wedding (with ribbon tied on), and people loved them. The men actually tied them to their jacket buttonholes, and the ladies carried them around all night. (They were a last-minute idea, and I had no idea they'd be such a big hit.) What *I* loved is that the ring was soft and pretty, so the sound as we walked back up the aisle was light and festive rather than harsh jingling. If you're looking for something with presence, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a nicely-sized bell with good shine and a pleasant jingle, you could do worse than these.

Look OK, but don't make much sound
I got these to hang on a garden gate to remind people to close it. They make hardly any sound, so it was a waste of money except for they look sort of pretty.

perfect for my needs
I bought these bells to attach to a strong cord to put on a saddle horn for my young family members that ride horses in the woods and state parks. the jingling of the bells alerts deer and other animals that you are coming, so the horse doesn't startle and buck or rear up. they are very well made and jingle just right.

AWFUL! Should have listened to all the bad reviews!!!
Warning!!!!! Although the price is decent for 18, 1" bells, DO NOT expect much of a jingle! Seriously! Thoroughly disappointed! Bought these to string them around my chicken coop to alert me if a wild animal tried getting into the coop. The jingle is so faint and tinny the sound wouldn't even scare a bird away! Ended up going to the Dollar Store and buying windchimes with a large bell attached and using those instead of these ridiculous jingle bells. Please, pay attention to the negative reviews.

Perfect!
Bought these to strategically place around the house to alert me when my rabbit is somewhere he shouldn't be. They make a perfect sound. Turns out he is scared of the noise the bells make.... success!!!

Si quieren que tengan un sonido potente de cascable a buscar a otro lado.
Son de buen tamaño, el acabado es bueno pero... Jingle Bell? no tanto. Se ven bien, no suenan fuerte.

Good product
The bells are what I was looking for: the right sound (quite loud and low register), good quality metal, and children liked playing x-mas carols. The seller arranged for a quick and safe delivery.

As advertised.
These are traditional, approximately one inch jingle bells with a nice sound. Certainly good enough to bell the cat, for crafts and decorations, or to make handheld jingle bells with.

Work well for what I needed them for
I got these to replace lost jingle bells on my dog's Christmas collar. They work well enough and with just a single bell sewn to the collar I can hear him when he's temporarily out of sight on hikes or in the forest.
