Works great and is fairly accurate
I haven't had any issues with this thermometer. It works great, easy to use. I do wish the prong was a bit longer, but for the price I'll take it.

Belongs to the top crop
Unfortunately I have been through many kitchen thermometers. No-one seems to have figured out how to build one which survives the tough kitchen routine. This one definitely belongs to the nicer ones I have used. It has a large, backlit display which is easy to read, a thin measuring tip for fast responses, a longer than average probe, and a lovely magnet on the back so I "hang" it to any metal surface. On the downside it's not waterproof, and cannot be calibrated. It looks sturdy, let's see how long this one lasts...

Speed and length
This is a knuckle saver. I use my smoker 2 - 3 times per week. Been using a short stemmed meat thermometer and constantly burn my knuckle and singe the hair on my hand. Have used this twice and am in love with how fast I get a reading and with how my knuckles are whole and hair intact
