All 5 pieces are nicely weighted and balanced. The serration on the knives will handle most food. The deep bowl shape of the spoons is great for liquids but also fine for more clumpy food like cereal. It is dishwasher safe. I like the dual polished/matte finish. I show it with traditional china but it looks great with my modern dishes too. I am so glad I chose this flatware.

One reviewer noted that there's a logo stamped on the pieces. I first bought a single place setting to see for myself. Personally, I don't find it an issue. I just ignore it. I was a bit concerned that it might be a place that food collects, but haven't had that problem. I know they should be hand washed but I put them in the dishwasher anyway with no problem. I avoid lemon-scented diswasher detergent because I believe (don't know for sure) that it's acidic and that's what harms metals. Since changing detergents haven't had a problem. Probably not good long term, though. I liked the "test" set so much I bought two 4-place settings. They are hefty and solid, nicely polished with no sharp edges, finely machined, and nicely balanced (no flipping out of the soup bowl like a catapult). All in all, nice enough quality to serve guests, and a touch of luxury for everday meals. The design is modern and neutral and classy. Tired of eating from utensils just one step above cafeteria quality. If you can afford them, by all means get them and take good care of them. Just a note about shipping: the box they ship in has an open face, and each time the "display" set became dislodged and were loose in the box. The others are nicely protected in individual plastic sleaves and sets put in boxes underneath, though.

The silverware are heavy and very fancy. Thought the handles would be a little longer but they’re not very short. Overall, the silverware are worth the money.

I was looking for a well-designed and durable every-day flatware set, and I found it here! These can be used both for everday eating and also for more formal plate settings. I love the shape and heft of the set. I only handwash all my dishes and flatware, so I cannot attest to whehter these hold up over repreated machine washings, but they appear to be somewhat scratch resistant after several weeks of washing. I am also not seeing the dull sheen that can sometimes come from stainless steel. Quality and affordable!

Photos don’t do this flatware set justice. Each piece of silverware is absolutely beautiful and ergonomic.The sets I purchased were produced in November and December 2023, as stamped on the boxes, and they are branded on the back of each piece of silverware as opposed to the front. Very happy with this characteristic!

I tried several different silverware sets before I purchased this one. I like the fact that the handle is brushed stainless while the spoons, forks and knife is mirror stainless. it's 18/8 and I haven't had any trouble with rusting. I do dry the stainless as soon as it's washed or in the dishwasher (use the dry feature on the machine). It's a perfect weight and slightly heavy. The spoons are a little large, however they work perfectly for everyday living. One fork arrived bent, customer service was friendly and replaced the fork immediately.Great company, beautiful silverware!

Expensive garbage. They rusted the first cycle in my dishwasher. They spot easily and it doesn’t easily rub off. The best thing about them is their shape. So mad at myself for disbelieving the other negative reviews.

I love these. The dinner fork has longer tines. They are a good weight and balance, great fit in your hand. Love them !

These are very nice except for the several that arrived defective (stamp streaked across cutlery, broken blade, bent tines, not a standard length). Maybe I got a bad batch. Fortessa is exchanging the defective pieces directly.
