How to Write a Better Thesis

As I write up my research and battle with my thesis this book is invaluable, and one I am reading and re-reading every week. The authors provide clear suggestions for what each section of the thesis should contain and offer practical advice. It feels like they are actually in the room with me as I write! Love it - highly recommended.

This book is excellent for anyone who is going to, or is in the process of writing a thesis. In that it is written so that it is:. Clear and direct in its advice;. Divided into the appropriate relevant sections to assist a student; and. Practical in its analysis and advice.I strongly recomment it over the other books that I have read on this issue.

OK - but I was expecting a little more...

Excellent resource for graduate students.

Recommended to my thesis supervisor for his future students. As an undergrad I found it highly useful not only for pointers as to how to orchestrate my thesis, but also it was detrimental in calming my pre hand-in nerves.

I start my PhD in a month's time and this book has been great for giving me a sense of what to expect, and also some excellent tips of things to do in the lead up to prepare myself. I'm enjoying all the practical examples and friendly, conversational tone. Definitely worth a read.

It helps me a lot to rethink for working on my thesis.
