What is the inseam length? One reviewer said 5", but they look shorter than that to me. I'm looking for about a 3" inseam. Will these be too long?

Do these shorts have actual pockets or is it a small ‘coin’ pocket?

Do these ride up? Would they be good for a long bike ride

Does anyone have any idea if I could dye the lighter one a different color? Like red? Do you think the material would take/hold up?
