Addio evidenziatori nuovi, ora ricarico quelli vecchi!

The sun, bottled! Insanely bright, good value ink!
This is a yellow highlighter ink from Pelikan for use in e.g. fountain pens with wide nibs. I use this in a Kaweco Sport with 2.3mm stub nib and a converter so that I can use it from the bottle. It looks like pretty much pure pyranine - it is SO bright, particular under sunlight or anything else with a fair amount of UV therein. It’s quite viscous and when used in a 2.3mm stub it does take a little while to dry. I’m sure it could be used in fibretip pens, too. It stays bright for a long while on paper and behaves like any other yellow highlighter would. I much prefer to use a fountain pen and bottled ink to disposable pens - saves on so much plastic waste. The bottle will last a long while - a full converter is 0.7mL, which would easily last me a month. That means the 30mL bottle would last me several years and is thus quite economical. Must be kept in the dark - in a drawer, ideally, as the dye will fade in light over time and ruin the ink, so tempting though it is to display it, best not!I did try writing with it using a bold nib and it’s okay but not too easy to read, so best kept for the intended purpose.

Good quality highlighter ink
I bought this ink for a particular pen: Lamy's 2013 Special Edition Neon Yellow Safari. It's perfect being as uncompromisingly bright and yellow as the pen that I use it in. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's a free flowing ink that keeps its colour without fading, so just like a regular highlighter pen but with a much narrower line. It's very useful for underling in documents that require an aide memoire for certain phrases without covering the page in brightly coloured stripes but I wouldn't write anything beyond a few words with it as it's likely to induce a migraine in the reader. Unless that's your aim in which case it's ideal for that job too.

works well
This it's a great fun product because it allows me to highlight using a fountain pen I'm not a big felt tip pen. I love it. The highlight colour is just as it is from a felt -tip highlighter.

Keep their colour
This ink is great for artists - it keeps its colour and brightens up any artwork. My son uses inks in his art and this yellow and green has always remained fresh! That was done years ago!
