Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme Omnibus Vol. 1

Peter B Gillis is credited for the writing, but this omnibus is written by Roy Thomas. I was already a fan of The Sorcerer Supreme from the original Defenders comics which was my 1st ever marvel comic ( damaged 3 pack in plastic way back when ) also he was always a major player whenever there was an epic event in the 616. Appeared in the 500th issues of the Amazing Spider Man & Fantastic Four, as well as Avengers Disassembled. That being said, I never bothered to check the Dr. in his own comics. Then the movie came out and I wanted more, so I pre ordered the Dr. Strange Sorcerer Supreme Omnibus Volume 1. Great read, and will definitely purchase vol. 2 if its also written by Roy Thomas!

The first reintroduction of the Sorcerer Supreme for his longest comic book run. This collection brings nearly half of the series into 1 solid hardcover story book. Included are the darkest Doctor Strange stories to that point, with Stephen Strange struggling with magic and with his own sanity and mortality. Also brings in some new characters and some old. We get a range of stories and arcs that surpass those the original Doctor Strange run and Master of Mystic Arts.

Omnibus came in great condition & got it for a good price. Very excited to get into this omnibus. Have volume 2 on the way with the final Sorcerer Supreme volume being released early 2022. Now is the time to get into this series.

Not as brilliant as the very early Strange Tales adventures but solid script and artwork and usual high Marvel standards in production in Omnibus Editions unlike the glued DC bindings.
