My older daughter had an American Girl doll when she was 6 but when my younger daughter, now also 6, wanted one, I hesitated. I looked at both the AG dolls and the Adora Amazing dolls and finally decided on the Adora Amazing doll. I am so happy I did. I really like that the chest area of the AA doll is also made of the same material as her legs and arms while the lower torso is soft for hugging. The American Girl dolls entire torso are made of soft material and it shows when you change them into strappy tops or swimsuits. I feel the AA dolls give you the best of both. They can wear any type of clothing and they’re still huggable. And best yet...you can buy about 3 of them for the cost of an AG doll. And most importantly...my daughter absolutely LOVES her.

Claire is a very attractive doll with her blue eyes and blonde hair. I love her face sculpt, and her detailed fingers and toes. Her outfit is adorable, and her belt bag can actually hold a small item or two. She has fairly thick hair although I wish her bangs were a little fuller. Her scalp is painted dark instead of matching her hair color, which I think is a bit odd. Her shoes were a bit difficult to put on and probably won't hold up well over time as they are made of flimsy fabric. Her hat doesn't stay on well and I would have preferred a jacket or vest. It also would be nice if she came with underwear. Overall, she is a lovely, well-made doll with a lot of style and personality.

This doll is so adorable! The packaging was excellent and made the doll look much more expensive. This is a great alternative to the other store 18 inch doll.One huge plus I found with this doll vs Target brand...when she sits her legs go straight out instead of to the side. Seems simple and unimportant but when my little girl wants her to sit in the chair it is much easier when her legs are straight in front and she fits!!
