Definitely excited to read more from C.J. WynnThis book pulls you in, make you not want to put it down and truly makes you feel as if you were part of what you are reading from the very start. C.J. Wynn not only does an amazing job on her details and explanations of situations but she was also very thorough in her research of all involved in this horrific case. Her words have a way to make you feel compassion, heartbreak, loss and wonder within the pages. She delivers chapters that will leave you in a suspense with the need to continue to the events unfolding on the upcoming pages. In the end there a feeling of closure with attention to details of how their lives are now. She toys with the wonder of how things could have been different but ends on a very tasteful note of empathy towards the victim, her children and family. The compassion shown by C.J. Wynn in her words is undeniable. This book well very well written and it is one that will stay with you long after you finish.

I received this book in the mail on a Wednesday evening and finished it by 10pm on Friday night -- just two days later (while working a full time job!!!). I could not put this book down and read every chance I got! CJ Wynn may be new to true crime writing but she is already a master! I have been an avid Ann Rule fan most of my adult life and CJ Wynn kept me just as enthralled in her books as Ann did! She writes with compassion and she ensures that all sides of the story are researched and compiled for the sake of the reader to have a complete picture. Her chapter cliffhangers made it hard for me to find a "good spot" to stop each time I was reading! I just wanted to keep moving through the book. I'm a fan and anxious for her next true crime to be released! BRAVO!

This Was Personal but who would want to kill the pregnant mother her fiancé Christopher or her ex-husband Richie Wilder, Jr. and his wife Cynthia Wilder C.J. book does an amazing job of keeping you interested as she tells the story of Angila’s life and the horrific tale as she weaves her way through this book, and unwinds the story with heartbreak, violence, compassion, emotion, loss and two people whose lack of accountability hate, and lies for another human being land them both in jail for murder. C.J. Style of writing will keep you in suspense with the need to continue reading as the events are unfolding before your eyes on the upcoming pages. At the end of this book there a feeling of closure and the attention to the details of how their lives are now, plus empathy towards the victim Angila her children and her family. For your very 1st book as a true crime author C.J. This book is very professionally written and it is one that has a writing style and suspense of any Ann Rule book. This book will stay with you long after you finish it.

I like true crime novels and this book was written about a murder in my hometown of Minot, North Dakota so of course, I had to read it! This book is so very well written and it just flows along so nicely. The story is in itself interesting but the way C.J.Wynn writes this story keeps you wanting to finish the book from the very first word to the very last. I am sure this was hard to write about people from your own town but she did a great job being impartial and complete in her writings. Thank you for being fair to all involved and telling a story about a wonderful woman lost.

The riveting style of the author makes more frightening the reality of the evil that exists, and goes unrecognized, among us.

I live in Minot and remember this case! This book has a lot more back story and detail on the case than what was released to the public at the time. I couldn’t put it down!

Very well researched and written; it's done better than some books by well known true crime authors. The author conveyed all the facts well, and while I wish there was a bit more information about Angila, and that Christopher would have spoken with the author, that these weren't done didn't detract from the book, or the telling of the horrible tragedy done to Angila and her loved ones. I hope they all find peace, and can remember memories of Angila with happiness. I didn't see it mentioned what happened to Angela's daughter Amy, and son Nathan, after Cyndi went to jail, but I hope they stayed together with someone from Angila's family, and that all three of Angela's children got help so they can go on to have happy lives as well as possible. As for Richie and Cyndi, both are selfish, narcissistic, unremorseful sociopaths who should never be released from prison. They're right where they belong.

What a fantastic book!! The details and information collected was awesome. I really go to know the people involved and even shed a few tears. I would love to read another book by CJ Wynn. She has great writing skills.

Haven't been able to read this as the font is so small I can't make it out. I tried to enlarge the font on the Kindle but I had to go up 2 sizes and it then made it so massive I felt like I was trying to read a children's book. I don't know what they did when publishing this but it needs to be reformatted. I need to contact Amazon to ask for a refund!
