was quite disappointed with these, they are dull in colour so to me didn't look like as described, also smaller than I thought.

The bookends I received were exactly as the photo represented, polished well and only needed a quick rub down with a rag to get rid of any debris from the packaging. I was scared that mine would come broken, but it looked well packaged as it was wrapped in bubble wrap. The only thing about the packaging is that both ends were placed together instead of separate, thankfully there was no damage.I saw that some people said they had not received the rubber bumpers. I thought that maybe I had not received them either but then I dug around in the paper and shook them out. The rubber bumpers themselves are clear on a clear 1x1 square sheet, making them hard to see. So maybe others did get them but couldn't find them since you can't immediately see them and they are rather small. Maybe it would be better to put the bumpers in a little red envelope or something brightly colored to make them easier to spot.

I was really excited for these to come!! Then when the bookends came, I was thoroughly disappointed.First and foremost, this item shouldn’t be offered on Prime as it appears the company cuts corners for shipping (I’m unaware if this occurs with normal delivery). My first indicator should have been the larger size hole for the box. The bookends were packed using newspaper, yes, I said newspaper. For an item of this nature, it should be wrapped in bubble wrap and peanuts and a larger box (the box for shipment was maybe 8” L x 6” W x 4” D).Second, I begin to carefully unwrap the bookends from the newspaper. With the first bookend, chunks of rock and geode are hitting my table as a result of the disastrous shipping job. In opening the second bookend, I find the same result.Last, unless I missed it in the description of said product, I expected these to come with “protection”. There’s no felt/protective material on the bottom of the bookends. If you were hoping to just slide the product, you’ll end up scraping your precious bookcase/bookshelf.I was really excited for these to go with my new office!! Sadly, I’ll probably end up returning them!!
