Sweet Italian Basil-4oz-Cut & Sifted-Favorite Italian Herb

I’m very disappointed with the 4 oz bag of basil I received from this company. It is not fresh enough to even have an aroma! By contrast, the marjoram I purchased last month (from the same company) is so strong and fresh I had to cut down on how much I use. I checked the expiration date for both spices. The basil expires next year, while the marjoram expires in two years. Big difference! I suspect the basil has been stored in a hot warehouse for a very long time, causing its volatile oils to evaporate. So I now have what seems like a lifetime supply of basil—set to expire in a year—that already seems stale. 🙄 I was thinking Denver Spice would be my go-to source for reasonably priced spices, but they do not deliver a consistently good product. I will not be buying from them again.

This and 5 other spices I ordered at the same time arrived yesterday. I could not be more pleased with the quality and quality of these products. I am not good at estimating what weight amounts look like for spices and was surprised to see how much I got for my money. There is a lot of spices here. I just found my go to source for any more needs.Since these 6 are all one order, I wish I could review them all together, but it does not work that way. You will see this review repeated.
