I purchased two but after connecting the slip side to the piping i messed up and didn't put the collar on first, once the cement adheres it's over. I couldn't find a replacement piece that they sold separately so i had to buy another complete valve, they do give the option of using a female inlet that screws on/into but the one i tried using kept leaking from the male end, i believe it was because of the cheap plumbers tape i was using, the cement is solid so i went with that for both in/out. the handle is sturdy but does come off if pulled out instead of to the side. I give it 5 stars for durability and ease of turning the valve but they do need to sell replacement inlets

This ball valve design is excellent. They can be taken apart without tools, due to the mini wrench being built directly into the handle. Also, they are designed so that they cannot be over-tightened (significant advantage to prevent damaged gaskets) like most other standard sanitary ball valves with the 4 bolts holding them together. All the o-rings are normal black rubber; likely Buna-N, and I will eventually replace them with superior (red) latex ones. This valve combined with Dernord threaded stainless 1" sanitary end pieces make it superior for working with corrosive liquid products.

Product arrived with 2 missing slip-on connectors.

Well made, value-priced. What more can you say. It actually shut the water off. Couldn't believe how well it did that.
