Reefer-Galler SLA Cedar Scented Spray (3)

The only thing that worked for closet moths
When my boyfriend and I moved in together he brought unwanted guests with him, aka closet moths. This was a few years ago. We tried everything "natural" including cedar, Lavender, moth traps, freezing our clothes, dry cleaning our clothes, putting them out in the sun for hours, etc. Sometimes it seemed like it may have worked but then months later we'd see one of these godforsaken bug fluttering around and get that sinking feeling - they're back.Anyway, we finally decided enough with the nontoxic stuff, time to bring out the big guns. Spent an afternoon cleaning out our closets, laundering everything and spraying every nook and cranny with this spray, including our clothing as we hung it back up. We also sprayed every dark corner and closet in our condo, even under the sofa, in case they were hiding somewhere unexpected. That was last fall and this is our first year with no moth sighting in spring/summer. Hooray! We plan to do a maintenance spray once a year just to make sure those jerks never take hold again. Yes, it is made from heavy duty chemicals and the warnings on the label are scary. But it actually works and that's what mattered to me after battling these pests so long. We just wear gloves and a mask and keep out of the room for a few hours.

LIFE SAVER against moths
When a neighbor across the hall moved in, bringing moths, it became a nightmare come true for me. My aunt who previously stayed in the Condo I am in still had a closet full of yarn, and of course, as time went past, they found their way into the house. For about 3-4 months, they slowly appeared and eventually I would see 4-5 a day. I got to the point where most readers may be: “these things are driving me crazy, and I can’t take it anymore.” The moths had made it into my couch, cat beds, and carpets, and I was officially INSANE about these critters. Genshin impact had just dropped a moth boss, and apex legends dropped a moth themed character, so I genuinely felt like the world was mocking me (LOL)I tried traps, hanging and regular, cedar blocks, and even cedar spray, but although they deterred the moths, they always returned. That was when I came across this!!I sealed the closet with yarn off (w/ mothballs) and washed all of the clothes. After spraying this the first time, I could immediately see the moths panicking due to the smell in each room, which helped me locate where they were hiding. I killed them off as they fluttered, and doubled down on those spots to kill larvae. This spray recommends not to be used around cats, but mine were fine. I would recommend keeping them out the room during application. In only 4 days of using this (all crevices and spots for 4 days straight), my problem had completely disappeared and it has been 3 weeks since I’ve last seen a moth. The smell is not bad, and is WAY better than most sprays, but I recommend buying cedar lavender spray alongside this as it makes it much more pleasant and leaves another scent they don’t like. I sprayed carpets, clothes, and all, and had no issue at all (given I wash the clothes before wearing). As mentioned earlier, it causes them to panic, so you will absolutely see movement during the first applications. WATCH WHERE THEY RUN AND SPRAY MORE.As someone who was introduced to a living hell due to these creatures, I strongly urge you to buy THIS PRODUCT!!! The others will kill males, and make them redirect their approach to mating, but this is designed to murder them, kill eggs, and make THEIR life hell. WHO’S YOUR DADDY NOW?!?!

TOXIC - Made my skin sting for days after I used it - even though I wore protective gear
I wore protective gear, as suggested, while applying this to my rug and moth-infested sofa. It did kill the moths. When I sprayed, they came pluming out of the rug and then fell dead. I sprayed on a warm day when I could leave all the windows and doors open for hours. I left all the windows open the next day, too. But....the residue of the spray has made my skin sting. It feels like I have a sunburn. I washed all the protective gear in the washing machine. That was a mistake. Later, when I washed another batch of clothes, putting them on made my skin sting. Today, it is 5 days after I sprayed. I had to move the sofa and rug to the garage. I feel like a moron for using this stuff indoors. But if I had used it outdoors, it might have killed wildlife. I just hope i didn't give myself lasting health problems by using this product, even though I used it as recommended.

Kinda Scary (unless you have a business with lots of ventilation, I guess).
First off, the warning label is about three can widths/lengths long, which made me super afraid to use it. Had no idea it was extremely toxic to cats, too! Jeez. I actually did use it on my carpets, which were showing some damage from clothing moths. I wore a face mask and shop glasses, held my breath, and opened the window in the room before spraying, after which I ran out and closed the door behind me, lest the cats get in and potentially have seizures and DIE. The room is now off-limits for another day or two until I am sure it's completely dry and has been sufficiently aired out. It's supposedly cedar-scented, but I will never know because I am seriously terrified of what it could do to me if I were to inhale it. Like a ouiji board, I'm kind of afraid to even have it in the house. Speaking of which, I guess I thought I was only buying one can...but ended up getting THREE huge cans of this scary stuff. If you want one, get in touch.BTW, it's now been a couple of days since I wrote the above. I can't tell yet if it's helped me get rid of the moths...that might take a while to ascertain. There is no lasting odor, but I'm still worried about the residual health dangers. I can imagine that if you are a person with a hotel or other large property and have room to quarantine products away from people and animals, it might work just fine. For individuals, however, I think it would be safer to go with something less toxic.

Check ingredients & be thoughtful
I bought this at my husbands suggestion as his mother had used it on their large family’s Winter clothes Storage every year throughout the 1960-1990s. And they were always impeccably dressed. So i figured I was following good footsteps. The cans came early, in time to put our winter clothes away. But before I used it, I read the list of ingredients with my 2020 eyes and Then showed it to my husband. While I will not say the product caused any of the illness in my in-laws, I certainly don’t think they were healthy to breathe in as she stood in her closet. So read (Any) ingredients before you buy, check where you’ll be spraying and make thoughtful choices.caveat emptor
