Love the Commuter
I like the portability of this item. I doesn't charge as fast as I would like but I like the option of having a car, wall and extra battery power when needed.

Swiss Army Knife
It’s hard to start without referring to this as the Swiss Army Knife of battery chargers. Spyder Digital Research has managed to create a charger that is all things for all needs and yet beautifully simple and elegant in design. The first impression is positive. It only weighs 4.5 oz (as measured by me) and is finished in a slip-resistant rubbery finish. The edges are softly curved and it is small enough to be pocketable. Operation is simple … one clearly marked on/off switch. That is the first feature I appreciate over the many other external battery packs I have seen … the switch has a positive “click” when it is turned on and off. So many other packs use a momentary push button, which if pressed against something in your luggage may result in a dead batter just when you need it most. The magic comes in knowing you don’t have to carry a case full of accessories when you travel. This battery pack has flip-out plugs for both a standard cigarette lighter and a standard North American type AC plug. There is also a status light that illuminates green to show it is on and charging and red to show it is time to recharge. In use I was able to charge my phone 2-3 times per charge, just enough to get through and extended day or an emergency situation. It comes packed with a standard USB-to-micro USB cable.Bottom line is it works as expected and looks cool. There is nothing negative I could find about it.

Spyder Commuter
I like Spyder products and actually use both their battery case and cradle for my iPhone and it has great performance. This is a novel product and I wasn’t to sure about it initially (in part due to the fact I don’t usually run out of juice due to the case) but I also use an Android phone a lot and I though it would be handy to have with that since I do seem to be loosing battery much more there. Its pretty simple in that its an external battery with a few ways to charge it up - thats it. You can throw it in the cigarette lighter or straight into a wall unit. Its convenient and is small enough to not weight you down and just has a couple of tricks up its sleeve with the charging option. Nice product its not for everyone but not terribly expensive and does the job it says it will so I can’t fault it really. Product provided for review - its just my opinion
