Excellent Product for the money
I have followed George Bradford’s work since 1964 and he has always come up with an excellent product. These plans originated in a series, by country in 1/35 and 1/48 scale, of popular armored fighting vehicles (AFVs) that he sold on his web site. They complement the standard reference texts in the field that provide the technical and operational details of AFVs. Since the Bellona series stopped production years ago these are the best available resource for military modelers other than articles specifically written on a particular vehicle. What I found particularly useful is that he covers subjects that are obscure or have been overlooked in the normal study of AFVs. This opinion applies to the entire series that has been published.

A good source but a few disappointments
I'm a wargaming enthusiast and find scale drawings vital to identifying correct angles and dimensions of vehicle armor. While I appreciate the considerable amount of work that obviously went into creating such drawings I was surprised and somewhat annoyed at the errors/omissions that I found. First of all there were no drawings at all of the Russian T70; at least 2500 of these vehicles were built during WWII. The T26 models show a ground clearance that's way too high on the front and rear view but correct on the side view; this inconsistency makes one question the dimensions of the rest of the vehicle. Other minor errors include a few incorrect angles (as much as 13 degrees on the BT-5 front hull based on photographs) and T-34 track widths that are too narrow (based on direct proving ground measurements that I've taken). Maybe I'm being too critical but it's for the details that I bought this book. On a positive note, I was happy to see all of the main BT series vehicles and a hard-to-find drawing of the T-34/76 1943 with the Uralmash forged turret. All-in-all very useful but needs some refinements.Joe

A must have for any AFV tank modeler!
This book has mostly 1/35 scale plans (some smaller because of tank size) that are invaluablefor plastic tank modelers. It is great!

Nice drawings
Hi, love these series of drawing books, very informative for my modeling, while not covering every varient it does a nice job of the standard vehicle.

One to have
I knew about the drawings of George Bradford (he has is own website) and I had a free image to study. I think he does a great job. As I am interested in Russian armor I bought this book, it's great, nice line art, fine details, together with some good pictures of these items every modeller will have great results building models from scratch. Well worth it's price.
