Rexy The Original Dinosaur Night Light by BabyTimes is the perfect addition to any nursery. It has a soft body, adorable face, and a range of colors to best fit your nighttime needs. There are four set colors, white, red, green, and blue; it also has a cycle feature, where the colors pulse into one another as they change. My only complaint with that feature is how it sometimes does so rapidly and that maybe a concern for someone with a seizure disorder. Though that may just be color changing lights in general. All the colors are very bright and light up even large rooms well. I could see this being a great companion to an older child during those nighttime bathroom runs.The light itself charges quickly, and lasts for at least a week without needing a recharge. I have had no issues with the USB port that I saw other reviews mention. I am very happy with my purchase. Despite the part housing the USB plug, the switch, and the light being plastic, it is very light and adds no weight to the dino itself. Absolutely worth the money to have this cute pal.

The media could not be loaded.  This is one of the best nightlight for kids I have tried. It is ridiculously cute and is very soft with no sharp edges/coroners for kiddos to hurt themselves on. It can be turned on by touching or squeezing it, and you can do the same to change the color. It also has a setting (my favorite!) where it continuously rotates through all the colors.It is wireless and the battery life has lasted a long time for me. A charging cord is included, and the lamp sits flush on the surface when the cord is in.I would recommend this nightlight for anyone with kids or needs a thoughtful gift for one. The box it comes in is colorful and high quality so it can be used as a gift for a birthday, Christmas, or baby shower.A definite 10 out of 10. It’s adorable, functional, and safe.

UPDATE: After writing my review I was contacted by the company and offered a replacement at no cost. It was also delivered the very next day. I appreciate the length they want to make it right and my daughter is ecstatic to have her favorite night lights again!My daughter absolutely adores this nightlight with is the only reason it gets more than one star. This is my second time buying this product and both times the charging port has broken and fallen inside of the light so once the battery dies you can’t use it any more. So sad to be looking for a new light but can’t buy it a third time for this to happen again.

The media could not be loaded.  This dinosaur is so stinking cute! The body of the dino is flexible and has a nice smooth feel. But there is a seam along the sides of the body though which isn't visible in the pictures.The brightness level and colors are decent, but on occasion it can be a bit faulty. Sometimes only the white light works and the colors do not. On some occasions, when the colored lights do work, they don't glow as brightly, even with a full charge.BUT my toddler is absolutely obsessed and loves trying to change the colors. She finds that hitting the table will trigger the lights to change better than hitting the dino itself. Toddler smash!

I love the tap to change color, I found tapping the shelf it sits on to work well. Switching it to white so I can see during the 1am diaper changes is nice. It's soft and squishy so the little ones can play with it.

We've had this item for over a year and a half, it's for our 2 year old grandson and only used when he sleeps over. We have been very happy with this item; it's cute and he enjoys the light. However, this morning when I picked him up he handed me one of the spinal spikes. I was surprised to realize that they are not permanently attached and actually pull off. Maybe I didn't read instructions closely enough, but I thought this item was intended for interactive nighttime play and comfort. Had I realized that there was an inherent choking hazard I never would have put this item in the crib with him. I feel horrible and am disappointed in the safety risk.

Somehow I ended up getting two in a row that stopped working after a day. The first one would only light up red after the first day so I sent it back and got a new one. The replacement one did the same thing and shuts off after a few seconds a wont stay lit. Terrible.

The media could not be loaded.  I wanted to gift this for my 2 year old nephew for Children's Day (June 1st) but now that I tested it myself, I want one for my bedroom too. It's soft and light, no worries about your child hurting themselves if it falls on them or if they bump it over the night stand. And, as someone who always forgets to buy batteries, I am very grateful for the USB cable that comes with it to recharge it.To my eye, the colors have different intensities. So for a child who is really afraid of the dark, the first tap will bring up the white (which is more like a very pale greenish blue) and is intense enough to brighten up the whole room. For a more soothing, sleepy color I'd go for the red, less intense and prepares the eye for sleep.Thinking about it, because I also tutor kids in English, I could use it as props when I teach colors and 'bright'/'dark' adjectives. I bet my students would love Rexy!
